The thought of the KD being a confidence booster if he survived the rest of the fight seriously went through my mind. JT couldn't have made it any clearer that it was a huge confidence booster for him. The fact that the question and doubt about his possible reaction to ever being hurt again weighing heavily on his mind has been answered, I can see why. His lack of endurance is worrisome, but I'd give him a serious shot at a win against Sturm. JCC Jr. is a tricky fight though.I agree with this. Believe it or not this just might be a blessing in disguise for JT and his fans. I mean he was GENUINELY rejuvenated by what had just happened. I haven't seen that kind of intensity in Jermain's persona in roughly 5 or 6 years. We'll see though

For people who are questioning why Taylor was all hyped in the post fight interview, think about it, it's common sense. The dude has been KO'd a couple of times and suffered a KD to get up fight on and get the win while also proving to himself he can survive getting dropped or hurt. To us, that's no big deal but to him it's a huge deal. Also, this Truax guy I think was better then advertised. I mean he has a couple of okay wins over journeyman Echols and Kolle. But, Taylor looked nowhere near as sharp to me as he did in his last fight. I think one of the contributions to that were just how defensive Truax was early on. All that being said, Taylor is a bit of an enigma. He's the kinda fighter that could dominate a top 5 fighter, then look like s.hit against a gatekeeper.

He should keep fighting tune ups so we could get more post fight interviews like this one. Gotta admit the sh1t was funny. I thought DiBella didn't wanna promote JT any more cause of his health issues? They should do him a favor and stop promoting him even if he got clearance. Would hate to see him get hurt in there. He had his time and it's time to let it go. The interview was funny but JT is delusional. You could see his trainer is considered. He needs to hang it up before somebody retires him.

My ultimate point being, JT is shot. He doesn't have it anymore. He would have stopped that guy in 5 in his prime. He landed maybe 3 shots of significance. Didn't really pull the trigger, and pulled a lot of his punches. All signs of a shot fighter. Taylor is so shot... He would have Ko'd that guy in his prime in under 2 minutes

I don't see how that's not an accurate score. I could even see giving Truax one of the first 5. Umm what? WTF are you talking about? Taylor won the first 5. and won 1 since then. I gave him the tenth so I guess he pulled it out, but barely. He looked like ****. Can you tell me besides a 2-3 shots, what of significance did he land? 7 rds to 3. 96-93 It wasn't that big of a blowout. Only chance he had of losing was by a KO but not in scores... Even with a KD he wasn't gonna lose. smh

I love Taylor,he's the kinda fighter who does not make excuses and takes his L's well..But I would like to see him be a bit more aggressive now,a lil more in fighting and walking this guy back a bit behind the jab... I think he just showed it in the post fight interview. He admits his KOs and I see where he's coming from about getting up from a KD.
