Ok, so I came across this video here this morning(sorry that I can't embed it):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx0Smh_H1Jg
It is a recent concert where they put a hologram on stage of 2Pac to perform. I think it looks cool. So it got me thinking, what if one day we could use that in a boxing arena for fights like Ali vs Tyson, Mayweather vs Ray Robinson, etc. Would you pay to see it? It would feature the ringwalks, interviews, and everything to make it look like a real fight. It could be a good way for retired fighters to make some money after their career.
No, it'd be fixed bulls**t.
Remember that Ali-Marciano thing they did in the late 60's when Ali was on his 3 1/2 year layoff, and it had Marciano winning??? Ali would have spanked Marciano all around the ring and win a wide UD or stop him on cuts.
Stuff like that just doesn't work.
I wouldnt pay for it. The price would be ridiculous. I read that the pricetag for that one image is like 10 million. Could be a bull**** price tag, but thats what I read. The promoter would have to recoup his costs in the fee for PPV. I wouldnt pay it.
no way
on free TV, itr could be something fun to see though
but we already have fans overpaying for fights in real life
nobody's gonna pay for simulated fights
Well it wouldn't have to be the main event, it could be some type of co-feature or something to a real fight. Like Ali-Tyson featured along with a real Mayweather-Pac fight.
