So you don't think JMM has a better chance of stoppin Rios than Abril? Of course he does. He hits harder. But Marquez will have to take a lot of damage in order too. Marquez can't stand in that Philly Shell defense or clinch. Nor is he nearly 6 feet tall and can keep Rios off him with his reach. It will be a dog fight.

Marquez is the type of fighter that has competitive fights with who ever he fights. It happens in all of his fights no matter that he is head and shoulders above these guys. He takes time to warm up but in the end his skills prevail So you don't think JMM has a better chance of stoppin Rios than Abril?

Abril is tall/long and fights with a very good philly shell defense. Also Marquez doesn't clinch. Abril clinched a lot. Also Rios could look re-energized at 140(Maybe) I actually agree with you. Like people said before, JMM has had trouble against pressure fighters i.e. Diaz, Katsidis. I could see Rios beating JMM than becoming a 'big' player at 140 until he fights someone like Peterson

But what does a KD down to JMM really equate to? A victory? History has shown that JMM (in his current condition) will make adjustment and destroy Rios whether JMM is KD early or not. JMM will simply get up, adjust to Rios' one-dimensional skill set.

Even if he moves up to 140... Hes already fighting at Jr welterweight... This fight he came in at 137 and then at 139.... Against Murray he came in at 137 aswell. So it wont change that much unless he moves up to welter and any top 10 will kill him... Rios next fight will lose if Arum doesnt pay the judges! (impossible) That weight drain program is over. Moving up weight is gonna be tough.....

Not really. JMM will easily school Rios X2 , JMM is way too skilled and accurate for Rios , Brandon is perfect for JMM to get a KO .

Pressure fighters like Rios serve 2 purposes to highlight reel guys and to get highlight reeled

Styles make fights......and Rios did look like death at the weigh-in. That fight would be exciting until Marquez knocks him out, can't see it ending any other way.

JMM excels when fighters come at him he'd be able to pick Rios off And yeah still want to see that fight Rios gets starched and a 4th Pac fight has hype or Rios could vindicate himself
