Gottta be the only man I've ever seen get hate for wanting better fights. He moves up to fight these guys at 160 and deals with awful officiating and judges along with virtually no support by the WBC and company and gets by on his own merit while remaining classy. Did you mean Martinez or Chavez? Chavez is a great draw because of his father and because he comes to fight every fight! Your question is like saying. If you have leverage and power, there is no small business who is going to push you around. Like I said. Boxing is a business and boxers are independent contractors. When they get together for a fight it is a joint venture where both fighters together will attempt to draw the most viewers and most fans possible to maximize their earnings. Since Martinez has a hard time doing this, he will need to accept a fight with someone like Chavez at their terms not his terms. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Dear Sergio, When your fights attract 2,000 people to a ballroom you have no room to demand anything. Chavez gets 20k+ in any city in Mexico and he easily gets 10K in Texas, NY, CA, NV, and AZ. You've been a nobody your whole career, you promoter has done a horrible job with you and your mad at other people, because you can't get a fight? We all know you THINK you'll have an easy fight with JR. but reality is Martinez, that you're really not that great. Towards the end of your career you have no big name on your resume. Your claim to fame is beating a guy who lost to quintana and Lara. Mr. Martinez why have you not moved up a division like EVERYONE has done to face a challenge. You don't even know how retarded you sound. The problem is about the sport as a whole. Not just 1 or 2 fighters. But, the sport as a whole. You're ignoring other fighters deceiving the public and just focusing on one. But, you don't care what other fighters are doing. You admitted as much. When that's a problem. Because, if it was only 1 fighter that was doping OK fine. But, when it's several and they're lying and deceiving the public then that's an issue. That's a problem that evolves the whole sport.
