Yea. I love defensive fighters & Benitez was amazing. I think he would have beaten any other pr greats. & Cotto is just a beast. No fear in that man. Fights whoever you put in from of him. Doesn't talk a lot of trash, or has a big mouth, (like most pr's do) over all a solid fighter. Never really liked Tito. He hit hard but, yea, not one of my fav's. Gomez was good. Ivan coldren is a great boxer. But my point is, IMHO I like Benitez & Cotto.
you mean after may 5th...maybe u be right IF he beats floyd :boxing:
even if he were to win May 5th, he would not rank above Gomez, Ortiz, and Benitez.
You leave that great list alone....If you going to criticize anything criticize Cotto spot.
:lol1: :lol1:
The only way that list could get better is by swapping #5 with #3.
I'm joking
Wilfredo Gomez #1
Wilfredo Benitez #2
Felix Trinidad #3
Carlos Ortiz #4
Miguel Cotto #5
Honerable mentions to Rosario, DeJesus, Serrano, Camacho and Torres
Trinidad over Ortiz?
How?
Wilfredo Gomez #1
Wilfredo Benitez #2
Felix Trinidad #3
Carlos Ortiz #4
Miguel Cotto #5
Honerable mentions to Rosario, DeJesus, Serrano, Camacho and Torres
Just finished watching his fight with Duran and I was wondering where people rank him.
Definitely one of the greatest boxers to come from PR.:boxing:

im poor at ranking fighters...
but benitez unseating a solid HOF (cervantes) from his throne ((JWW) at age 17...
beating a close-to-prime solid HOF (palomino) @WW...
and clearly out-boxing a steadily declining but still great roberto duran...
speak volumes of his greatness...
just a shame he was very lazy and had a very short prime...
