So without getting into the details -
5 - Pacquiao KO's Hatton
4 - Hopkins stares down the press
3 - Morales goes southpaw versus Pacquiao
2 - Gatti-War I Round 9
1 - Marquez-Vasquez 3 Round 12
Thoughts?
What are yours?
Hopkins ending Hagler's streak
Barrera/Morales, Corrales/Castillo, Gatti/Ward giving us the most epic fights
Mayweather vs Delahoya and 24/7
Roy at heavyweight
hopkins ending monzon's streak **
he had two more defenses
and hopkins held only the IBF title from i believe 95 (knocked out mercado in a rematch for a vacant ibf belt) to 2000
he wasnt recognized as the "lineal" champion (or the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy,) until he fought tito trinidad, which was a box off between the number one and number two guys.
hopkins was a three to one dog, too!
its quite difficult to pick up a specific moment from the mahyar monshipour vs somsak sithchatchawal fight... you hav to take that fight as a whole... but i know what you mean...
what about JMM going up each of the three times he visited the canvas from the first pacquiao fight?
the entirety of the first round of holt-torres 2?
morales turning southpaw in his 1st outing with MP was awesome as most would agree...
Yeah, you're getting the gist!
when Lewis knocks Tyson out, the last of the most significant heavyweight matches before the Klitschkos takes over.
Corrales-Castillo I, boxing fans witness a thrilling finish, even referred after as the greatest fight in boxing history.
when Hopkins stops Trinidad, two weeks after 9/11, Bernard earned his place in boxing history.
the Barrera-Morales third fight in 2004.
Roy Jones got knock out by Tarver, its still shocking to this day, that sucker punch and Roy was never the same.
honorable mentions:
Mayweather TKo'd Hatton.
Margarito stops Cotto
tough call, but 1st 5 off top of the head
Chico-Castillo, great fight, last big moment for Chico
Gatti-Ward 1, classic, and the only one of the 3 that was close
Pac-Terrible 1, last truly great performance by Terrible
Pac-DLH, Oscar cherrypicks a midget and gets retired by him
Tito-Vargas, beats Mayorga and Joppy as the last great hurrah for Tito
So I see a lot of guys listing fights, but what about the specific moments that make these fights memorable? Would anyone be up for organising a top 5 like that?
sanders\rahman had several great moments...5 knock downs between them including the only time i ever saw both guy drop each other at the same time...both got up too

No particular order:
Mayweather destroying Chico
Mayweather destroying Gatti
Pacman KO of Hatton
Margarito making Cotto take a knee
Mosley destroying Margarito
Bhop staring down the press
There's probably more but I can't think of em right now.
1. Jones winning the HW title.
2. Hopkins becoming the oldest champion in boxing.
3. Mayweather destroying Corrales.
4. Rahman knocking out Lewis.
5. Juan Manuel Marquez defeating Manny Pacquiao Twice.
my favorite. surely something i'll never forget.
Me too. I've never seen anything like it, it was totally inexplicable. Roy Jones freaked the **** out.

Enzo getting KOed by Afolabi.
Enzo getting KOed by Lebedev.
Cool thread for new fans!
My fav moment so far is Martinez ko Williams after being made to come out first like a challenger and walk through Williams corner when he was actually champion.
