I have always wanted to see both of these fights, if Pavlik and Taylor get back on top, why not? Taylor-Hopkins 3 would give BHop a chance to avenge the losses and go out with a win, Taylor-Pavlik 3, the winner would go on, the loser goes home, it would be a good crossroad fight in about a year (if they both keep winning). I think they would have good action, hopefully they wouldn't be on PPV. I also wouldn't mind seeing BHop-Pavlik again as long as Pavlik looks good in his next couple fights, all of these fights would be very close and could rebuild their careers, win or lose.
I would like to see Taylor and Pavlik for that matter fight a decent mid level or fringe contender first. I want to see how they look fighting someone who can fight but not pose enough of a threat to seriously hurt either guy.
Both of them have a ton of rebuilding, especially Taylor. Funny thing is though, Taylor's long rest may have done him a world of good. Yes once in a while, it takes walking away for a couple of years to truly heal. Now he will have to find that skill set again and come back slowly.
would you be interested in either of these fights?
I would actually like to see both.
I thought Hops got robbed and we all know Hops likes to get payback. That fight would have lots of ??s around it. Can Jermain still compete? Is Bernard too old now? I would actually be pulling for Nard in that one to get his payback.
Pav vs Taylor would be a sick crossroads fight. Probably be a decent paycheck for both. I wouldnt want it to be a "loser leaves boxing match" though.
Yea of course in this day in age when managers, promoters, fighters and their lack of manhood run the sport. Hence the best do not fight each other. Unfortunately I don't see either one of those fights happening. Taylor vs Hopkins 3 would be an intriguing trilogy but they are each heading in different directions in weight and are in different stages in their career with different goals. Pavlik vs Taylor 3 would be a good one, but we may never see Kelly at 160 again. Pavlik from what I can see is having fun again and finally adjusting to the weight gain up to 170 and making the best of his fresh start in the sport. Pavlik with a huge chip on his shoulder seems to only be interested in 2 fights at 60 (Chavez Jr. & the rematch with Martinez). Other than that at 60 there is nothing more to prove for Pavlik. At 68 there is some serious meat for him to tackle in light of shutting up the critics that are only judging him based on 2 fights (Hopkins & Martinez). A healthy clear minded Pavlik at 68 w/Garcia in his corner could be a force with more glory! Taylor is best at 60 and I believe will once again regain authority at 60, for Martinez is 37, possibly near retirement and is already hinting a move down to a catch weight at 50 in a clash with Mayweather. In regards to this ? I'd like to see them, but they don't make sense either of the 4.
It's not just a question of Pavlik proving anything like tha, but there's a lot in what you say. He only wants to prove that he can fight sufficiently well to bring in a crowd so that he can earn some money. He needs to make a decent living and that's the only way he knows how.
I'd have to see him in a few more fights before I know if I want to see him vs any elite fighter. Beating Nicklow proves nothing to me other than he was in good shape.

I think Taylor's shot so I don't want to see him get brutally KOd again. As soon as he steps up to elite level competition that's exactly what's going to happen.
It's too bad they are not in better places these days, if they had gone seperate ways after the 2nd fight and maintained themselves we probably would have come back around to Taylor-Pavlik 3.
i like both guys and am more of a JT fan.....The first fight is one of my favorite ever...two young, undefeated american middleweights fight for the championship ,that was awesome
some people enjoy boxing and dont just sit and complain all day.im talking to those type people
Yes because pointless rematches are what boxing is all about...
would you be interested in either of these fights?
