First off, Martinez has been beaten.
Second some of you forum members are pathetic.
Its never been illustrated so well as in Wess' signature. Its a virtual timeline of haters being miserable.
Floyd has come up how many classes? And because he isn't immediately jumping up to 160, some of you are writing that Floyd is ducking Martinez?
How pitiful. How desperate.
If Floyd were to beat Sergio next month, you'd be calling for him to beat Ward next.
Its amazing that some of you ask this much of a man you don't respect but refuse to ask the same of the men you claim have better resumes and have had better fights.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
Sergio and I want the fight at 154lbs, so now what is your's and Floyd's excuse now?
There is always a spare excuse, because the first 10 can fail.
Yeah, funny thing is that the only people that don't feel that way are Me, Mathed, Floyd & about five other posters here.
See cause of Floyd felt the way you & 98% of his fans did, we'd have Martinez at 154 right now.
Oh ****t I´m saving this :omfg:
Why?
I think Sergio will be favourite to beat Floyd at 154lbs if the fight happens this year.
So will Floyd grow a pair, step up and fight Sergio?
Prove me wrong Floyd and take the fight and beat Sergio.
It would be a top fight if it happened, but don't hold your breath, because it is all about self-preservation.
frankly, i don't see why floyd would hesitate to go for this fight. i say no one. i mean no one would be dominated in this fight. two extremely cautious, defensive boxers going at it in which no one is willing to relinquish his counterpunching role. this would be one of the most boring fights you would ever see in boxing history. which is just fine by both. but fans still want to see it. i simply don't see why this fight would not happen after the cotto fight.
dibella should be negotiating this fight this year.
pu55y boy floyd would beat everybody, pacquiao, martinez, etc in fantasy fights. he doesn't have to fight them. his fans are just fine with it. they don't have to see the joy and entertainment of seeing floyd da best beat these fighters. they're satisfied with fantasy fights. pbf had to be compensated with astronomical sums of money to fight them in real fights.
in this case, martinez would gladly bow down to floyd da best's demands. i simply don't see any thing that would stop this fight from happening.
If Martinez was so easy to beat why can't anyone beat him? People talking about Floyd potshotting Martinez to death....like to see that as he is eating 4 punch combinations and especially that straight left as he tries that lead right thing he does.
there you go. fans should be pushing for this fight after the pbf/cotto.
dibella is a regular visitor in this site so we'll be expecting him to negotiate hard for this fight. let's see what happens.
Floyd can and will beat anybody at 160, hell the guy is fighting a real 154 champ, he will school Martinez at 160 like he will school cotto at 154
If you say so, just remember this thread the day after the Cotto fight when Floyd has a much harder time than expected against Cotto. Martinez would KO Cotto in under 7 rounds.
Floyd can and will beat anybody at 160, hell the guy is fighting a real 154 champ, he will school Martinez at 160 like he will school cotto at 154
LO, THEY WILL HAVE SOME OTHER EXCUSE COME MAY 5TH....
I was looking at the comments you quoted...
DID THAT RETARD "BOMBS" really say that a Flush Shot from PAC could really stun a gorilla???
LOL!!! I have heard it all now.... A gorilla would literally tear off manny's dick and throw it in the tall grass never to be found again....
Martinez is easily the bigger man, which makes his hand and foot speed amazing at those weights.
moreso than raw power, its his accuracy that should receive the credit for his knockouts. cintron, williams, dzinziruk and macklin all received blows that landed dang near right on the chin, from an angle just outside their vision or timed to catch them with their head at a certain position (it almost looks like he's aiming at a right-handed fighter's back shoulder), that causes their necks to move violently.
it's not the knockout of a power puncher. that's why fighters can take that same punch for whole fights, he has to get the timing right.
that said, martinez cannot fight on the inside. this reluctance to fight in that range often leads to a lot of those "knockdowns" where he's caught backing out and basically tripped up.
my guess is that he sets up his defensive strategy off tapes and figures out a proper way to get his punches to work most effectively. Those punches are: the jab and the left hand.
the strategy to beat him is simple. be defensively responsible (peek-a-boo would be best). stay within range. counter-punch.
he does get fatigued but mayweather isn't a big enough puncher to wear him down with any effectiveness so the best bet would be to aim for swelling.
that means LOTS of pressure from the opening bell. cutting off martinez's ability to circle how he would like (as circling left goes against convention but keeps the angle to slide that left hand in how he likes it). touch him with the jab four to five times as much as the right hand. throw the right hand like a pitch, stepping forward with it (DO NOT try to throw the right hand and pull back...you'll be back in the locker room before you know it). never allow martinez to lead.
mayweather has the tools to beat him. the only thing i doubt is the size. even making 160 would be a dream for someone of his build. fighting at 160 seems crazy.
LOL.
Floyd going to walk on to some right hooks and eat a lot of straight left, maybe not that many because it won't take a lot till he is crawling around on the canvas.
If Floyd had your confidence this fight might happen, but Floyd knows boxing and knows what will happen if he fights Sergio so I very much doubt we will be seeing this fight.
YADA, YADA, YADA, JUST like you knew he was afraid of Mosley, you picked Ortiz etc. We have heard it all before, spare us the nonsense talk.....
Floyd can pot shot Martinez to death, because Martinez will be out of his element once hes in teh ring with someone much faster. Hes not used to fighting with his hands up, this in turn will make him hesitant. If you really think someone that fights with their goddamn hands down is gonna whoop floyd you have lost your ever lovin' mind!!! Lemme guess, PAC would walk Martinez down behind a 67" jab huh??
GET DA ****K OUTTA HERE...LMAO
LEMME ASK YOU A QUESTION, AT 154 WHO WINS, SERGIO OR PAC? And how would it play out?
