This is a different and better Cotto

No offense to any Cotto fan but those who think he's "rejuvenated" are being fooled. By all means I wish he would prove me wrong but I just don't buy it.

What would you call it then? Margarito himself said he thought he would've won in the next couple rounds because Cotto was beginning to hold because he was tired. Seriously you believe that just because he knew how many fingers the doctor was holding up doesn't mean he was going to win I bet and i'm not been funny someone in his corner had to be telling him how many fingers to say there is no way he could see out of that eye. I've never really drank the cool aid on Cotto. I've found him to a competent technical fighter, yes, but never the stuff that greats are made of. Too many of Cotto's fights end weak. Nothing, no decisive victory that the fans can sink their teeth into. Mosley, Clottey, Marg (II) are debatable fights for different reasons. And when faced with inferior competition (Mayorga), he's looked to be dialing it in -not making the sort of statement a great champion should be making. Not much point in mentioning the Pac beating. I think that Cotto is a good solid B level fighter. Certainly even back in the mid to late 90s, he wouldn't have cracked the likes of Oscar, Tito, Quartey, Mosley, Winky, Vargas, Carr... Cotto would've beaten Vargas

I love Cotto too. I'm glad his corner is solid and teaching him a different look. Its still clear as day though, that Miguel does not have the advantages over Floyd. It will be a miracle for him to win. Still doesn't remove the fact that I want Cotto to punch a hole in Floyd's a$$!! haha/ a lapse in concentration and one good punch is all it takes. Am sorry man, but this sounds like when the Pac fans were saying how Mosley was better when Pac fought him. Mosley was shot when both Pac and Floyd fought him. I wouldn't consider it to be a great victory for either.
