Here is another fantasy fight that Floyd will win again. :lol1:
Anyway, been thinking about making a thread asking this question for a while. I'd imagine that the consensus would be the 130 lb Mayweather. However, as he has aged (147), he's been a lot more cerebral. What are you thoughts?
EDIT: I'm speaking from a style standpoint, basically younger Mayweather vs the older Mayweather. So I chose 130 and 147. Take out the weight for a second when responding for the sake of the thread (although that's important). I should have mentioned that when I originally made the thread, my bad.
Stylistically 130 pound Floyd had KO power, ridiculous speed, unbelievable defense AND he was a smart fighter.
147 pound Floyd is a genius level fighter though. IDK it's tough, young Floyd could probably UD older Floyd maybe.
Very tough call just taking the styles of 130 vs 147 and leaving the weight off I might have to pick 130 version of PBF. PBF at 130 was a lot faster, let his hands go and was much better with his jab. PBF at 147 is smarter and more economical and accurate. Leaving the weight out I say 130 PBF cause he was still smart but more athletic. And 130 PBF was hungrier to prove himself.
That's a tough one, if you said 130 vs. 140 Floyd I'd definitely go with 140. He's gotten a lot better in the pocket, more craftier since moving up from 130.
floyd has made huge improvements, obviously
he's had a decade to learn and has yet to fall off enough physically to negate the advantages of that experience
floyd at 147 is the better fighter
i will say this, though
130 floyd is the rougher h2h matchup historically for other 130 lbers
for instance, i'd pick him to beat arguello and saddler at 130, two guys argued to be the best of all time h2h at the weight
at WW there have been much bigger men, with size, speed, punching power. some of these guys finish careers far beyond WW (hearns, leonard, robinson, burley,)
floyd is a very small WW and h2h that's going to catch up to him
130 (135) Floyd. Floyd let his hands go and took more risks, but still had had the speed, defense, and power at that weight. You have to remember also (even leading to 135) he fought guys like Emanuel Augustus, Castillo, Corrales who were are quality prime competitors during that time with Castillo being the toughest fight. He was smart back then and still is, but 130 Floyd was much more dynamic while today's Floyd is more reserved. Against a prime version of himself, he may fall short.

Floyd at 47, makes no mistakes...he got better and better...lil Floyd was so scrappy that he got caught allot...Big Floyd, fights the whole fight without getting hit, and his accuracy jumped to a new lvl at ww
How about 130 vs 135??
How about 130 vs 135 and 140 vs 147???
That's cool too. I should have been more clear in the OP. I was meaning more of the styles that he's employed at both weights. Will edit the OP.
