Championship belts weren't as diluted and terrible as they are, I'd say good point. But the champs at WW aren't as good as the fighters he fought at the time, with the exception Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Regarding Floyd's fight with Mosley and Cotto. Lets not forget that Pac has ducked the Mosley that Floyd fought and the Cotto that Floyd is fighting now.
yet people say floyd cherry picks at 147.when all he has fought is champions

manny has fought 1 champion at 145 not even 147-cotto
Pac is still living off a 2009 CW win over Cotto.... and since the De La Hoya fight... EVERY single fighter outside of Ortiz was coming off TKO/KO's WHEN Mayweather fought them. Can't say that about Pac's SH*TTY ass run at WW.
At WW: Mayweather >>>>>>>>> Pac
Funny thread.
Roach/Pac have been chasing Floyd-da-best, but Floyd kept ducking. Pac/Roach tried to cherrypick Floyd, but Floyd kept making excuses not to fight:
14 days cut-off.
Nope, it's no longer on the table.
No test (without cut-off), no fight
No training in the Philippines
OST spies are required
I want $100 million
May 5, Cinco de Mayo, Las Vegas
80/20 split
Arum needs to disappear first
The list will never end.
Floyd fans: I support the roadblocks. It doesn't matter if I never get to see Pacman gets humiliated in the ring. (Because I don't really believe Floyd can do it. I was just bluffing.)
Why are you so gullible , your just a one eyed hater that has no clue of the big picture , but then science says stupid people dont really know they stupid , your living prove !

Sorry but in Mosley you are talking about an out of prime 38 years old Mosley that was inactive for 16 months .... FACTS ..... he has not won since that fight ..... and looked BAD in all 3 fights! Mosley's can still beat someone if the opponent is made for him ... meaning the perfect style.
Ortiz: Ortiz fought once at 147 and was knocked down TWICE!!!! His previous fight, he fought someone who countered him well but was no Floyd in Peterson .... and we can never forget the Maidana fight.
Cotto vs Floyd at 154 ... a duck? Who even mentioned that fight or even thought Floyd would go for it to even consider "ducking Cotto" .... the duck was 4 years ago perhaps but now? No!
By the way, Manny fought Mosley ... while Mosley was not inacitve he was OLD .... OLD is OLD ... not just for Floyd ... even Floyd said before the fight "Mosley is OLD"
So wait......Floyd-Pac was off because walked away from negotiations in January 2010 and refused random testing. Berto-Mosley, the next two best WW at the time, their fight was off as well because of the Haiti thing. Pac chose to fight Clottey and Floyd chose to fight Mosley, who'd beaten Margarito his last time out when Marg was looked at as one of the top fighters at 147. He was past his prime, but it wasn't Floyd cherry picking an old Mosley, he was the best fight at that time aside from Manny and himself. Was it a cherry pick when Oscar fought an old Pernell Whitaker, even though Whitaker was still one of the best WW in the world??? No.
At the time Floyd-Mosley was made, Manny and Roach said they'd only fight him at 142 f**king lbs, are you serious man??? But after he gets whupped by Floyd and has a draw with Sergio Mora, he's all of a sudden a good fight at 147 for them???
Ortiz was a good fight. Ortiz was coming off 5 straight wins and a draw he should have won, and is it his fault Maidana never wanted to rematch him??? He was coming off decent wins over Diaz and Campbell (who showed he can still fight), a draw he should have won over Lamont Peterson (who just beat Amir Khan), and a win over then unbeaten and #2 ranked WW Andre Berto. How was that a bad figh for Floyd??? He was knocked down twice by Berto, oh well. Berto can punch and caught Ortiz, who got up and kicked his a$$. My god. Who was he suppose to fight that September???
Bottom line, people need to shut the f**k up and appreciate the fact that we're getting two good fights from Floyd and Manny.
And given that Sergio was fighting Macklin in March and Floyd-Pac was off, what were the two best fights for each guy right now??? Cotto at 154 and Bradley, end of story. When it was reported that Floyd-Canelo was close to being signed, all these Floyd haters were saying "Fight Cotto at 154, why Canelo??? He's avoiding Cotto at 154 to fight a green Canelo". He picks Cotto and now it's "He's fighting a Pac leftover", get the f**k outta here. The duck happened 4 years ago??? How about from 04-06 when Floyd and his camp were calling out Cotto for a fight to which Cotto didn't accept and Top rank said at the time "Cotto isn't ready for Floyd, we're saving that fight". Floyd splits from Top Rank in 06', announces he's done after the Hatton fight, and now it's Floyd is ducking Cotto???
All the people that say Floyd didn't fight Tszyu, Margarito, Williams, Johnston, are the same people that turn a blind eye to Manny not fighting Raheem, Guzman, Valero, Berto, or Ortiz when they were CLEARLY better fights than what he was doing at those times. It goes both ways, some fights don't happen. Is it Floyd's fault that they were negotiating Floyd-Tszyu to happen after Floyd-Gatti and Tszyu-Hatton, but Tszyu lost, and Floyd fought Hatton in 07' anyway.....No it's not. Is it Floyd's fault that Shane Mosley's tooth hurt too bad from 06-07', No it's not.
Like I said, I've never seen a fighter with the solid/good/great wins he has that gets s**t on so bad. If his resume is a D or C, than a guy like Miguel Cotto has an F resume.
Seriously how is that not hand picking opponents?
there are two real cash cows in boxing right now in america
two more in germany (the klitschko brothers. they still dont bring in manny and floyd money,)
it's no different than any other business. you are not there to give out favors. your job is to make money. the most money.
who wouldn't they be picky?
huh? why wouldnt they?
you box for money. you dont box to please some internet forum fools who dont get the way the world works
bonafide cash cows in boxing will ALWAYS pick and choose their opponents
people with any sort of power will ALWAYS pick and choose. that's the way **** works. you've been around the sport for long enough
i know you're simply looking for some indirect rout to suckle on floyd mayweather's ballsack (the same way you do with literally every thread you've ever created,) but you really should get a clue
didn't he win the heavyweight championship "after" being caught?
The referee made that a Jones fight, Ruiz is an inside fighter but he was never going to be allowed to win by the moneymen. No one cared about Ruiz's chances as long as the big name steroid cheat got to win another title by hook or by crook.
Ruiz's post-fight comment:
"How can I give any credit when the referee wouldn't let me fight my fight?" a disappointed Ruiz said. "Every time I went in, the referee was accusing me of holding."
A little reading for you: http://www.boxingscene.com/-sport-boxing-steroids--2888
BHOP was twice the boxer because he isn't a steroid cheat, RJJ was artificially enhanced, no surprise he fell to sh1t after he got caught.
didn't he win the heavyweight championship "after" being caught?
So when BHOP fought Roy Jones in 2010, did he fight RJJ at his best? Was RJJ even a force to be reckoned with in 2010? Roy Jones stopped being RJ in late 2003.
So does that mean that BHOP was even close to being half the boxer that RJJ was throughout his prime?

I'm sure someone else pointed it out at this point in the thread, but it's funny you give Judah credit for being a champion when he lost his belts the fight before, and only got them back because Baldomir couldn't pay to keep them. What a champion.
Floyd ducked cotto since 2004 LMAO!! When cotto had jheri curls lol. After he gets assaulted with plaster and the greatest of all time Pacquiao destroys him, floyd fights him in 2012. :lol1: :lol1:
And he is STILL ducking the greatest of our time. Like my homey RIP Bert said, he spoke the truth:
Cotto might still be too strong with just enough speed to beat Mayweather but Floyd will resort to hugging if that's what shows on fight night.
I don't take these types of threads seriously.
Pac/Roach have been chasing Floyd da best for years now. These debates about Pac cherrypicking his opponents would have been settled a long time ago if Mayweather stopped ducking the fight.
Pac/Roach tried to cherrypick Floyd da best with no luck.
And nobodys taking this post seriously.
