yes it was awful but it don't explain why Kirkland looked like shit in there
It does... clinching can drain fighters. Yes, Kirkland still looked bad when Molina would surprisingly use head movement by rolling under and slipping punches, but I emphasize surprisingly because although it worked so well, he'd rarely do it... instead opting to WWE it up.

Kirkland weighed 198 pounds 1 month ago. He had to cut 44 pounds in 30 days. That pretty much says it all.
Watch the Zab fight. Every time Paris tried to clinch, look what zab did to him.
I am not sticking up for Molina, but someone can only clinch like that if their opponent allows them to.
One of you people can post video footage of what you refer to when talking about "not letting someone clinch you".
I here alot of yapping and no video footage of what you're talking about.
There are other ways of stopping them other than blatant fouls and Kirkland doesn't know how so its his fault.
Exactly.
I am not sticking up for Molina nor do I like the clinching, but most fighters do it and good fighters know who to prevent it.
Its up to the ref to stop him from doing that. He needs to issue a warning if he clinches for no reason.
Refs need to start enforcing the rules like this and using your forearm/elbow.
I honestly don't care what Zab did. Vernon Paris isn't Carlos Molina.
Again, if Kirkland body slammed Molina, would you blame Molina for not defending the body slam?
Again, if Kirkland wouldn't allowed him to clinch, then it wouldn't have happened.
I don't really see your point. Paris rarely ever tried to clinch Judah
No he didn't try to clinch nearly as much, but my point is that when it did try, Zab was smart enough to know how to not only how prevent it, but he knew how to take advantage of it. Paris might have even tried even more if he didn't get busted up every time he tried.
I actually agree with you for once man. What Kirkland did in the 10th round, when Molina tried to hold for the 100th time, he pushed him off of him and went to kick his a$$, and he hurt Molina in that round big time. Molina held Kirkland 16 times in the 10th round, that's ridiculous. It was borderline Akinwande-Lewis type s**t. Molina straight up looked like a small John Ruiz out there.
I don't get why Lederman gets on other people for holding, but didn't with Molina when it was way worse???
i'm pretty sure lederman has been trying to get fired for the last 10+ years. that's the only way to explain it.

If kirkland started body slamming Molina on the mat, would it be Molina's fault for not having take down defense?

we all know molina is a b-itch but what surprises me is that kirkland just let him do that. i guess chad dawson is more street than kirkland. kirkland should have started pushing and elbowing the s-hit out of molina but he just stood there like a zombie.

Exactly. Molina was only able to clinch because Kirkland allowed him to do it.
30 minutes is 1800 seconds. Not taking into account that Molina was holding him probably at the very least 5 seconds and at the most 10-15 seconds each time, do the math.
118 clinches in 1800 seconds means that Molina grabbed and held Kirkland every 15 seconds, not even taking into account that he held him between 5-15 seconds each time, held his arm under his armpit and punched him, forced his forward onto Kirklands head, hit on the break constantly, and tried to hold onto the rope while laying on Kirkland when he was hurt in the 10th.
At least Andre Ward fights when he's in a clinch, the only punching Molina does when he was holding Kirkland was when he pinned Kirklands arm under his armpit and would hit him with the right hand.
The other side of the coin is that Kirkland sucks and has no fighting ability. If he has an ounce of fighting ability, he would have been able to keep Molina From clinching all the time. I hate Zab Judah, but at least he knows to shake people off that are clinching and not only that, he knows how to take advantage of it.
Yes, it bugs me when people clinch all the time, but it also bugs me when someone expect the ref to do all the work for them.
