Carlos Molina is a high volume puncher, with a great chin and has great endurance.
Kirkland is a monster puncher, who has a questionable chin but has the power to knock everyone out in that weight division.
I think Kirkland is the overwhelming favorite because of his recent KO of El Perro.
Who wins and how?
Kirkland is fun to watch, but I think if he gets in there with a tough dude with decent skill he'll get popped. Molina seems to fit that mold. You can't train someone how to take a punch, unfortunately for Kirkland he is in the wrong division to have a questionable chin.:boxing:
Molina wins by decision. I don't really see Kirkland landing too much in this fight. There's an outside chance that Molina KOs him with sharp counters. Yeah Molina doesn't have the most power, but Kirkland's chin is trash.
It will be tough to kepp Kirkland off of him. I want to see Angulo vs Kirkland again, I think if those two fight 10 times, they each might win 5 of them.
Molina has a shot. People underrate Kirklands stamina though. That guy threw everything he had for 6 rounds against Angulo and STILL had a lot left.
Molina is a good fight and a dangerous one. I still got Kirkland by TKO in the 7th. I don't think Molina has the power to keep Kirkland off of him. Of course, Kirkland did get TKO'd by Ishida. I still think Kirkland is much different with Anne with him. He went down from heavy hitting Angulo, weathered the storm, and whupped Angulo.
Kirkland by TKO in the 7th.
What did Anne do, surgically replace his chin? He's being wobbled or knocked down in his last 3-4 fights. I think molina will take him either ud or late ko
Molina has a great chance of wining and I'm routing for him (I like both fighters), but he has to box and move and survive the first few rounds, then go for the victory.
But in the end, I think it's going to be Kirkland but TKO.
Kirkland will start fast applying tons of pressure testing Molina in the early rounds to see if he can handle his power if Molina survives the early rounds and outbox him the rest of the way he can win a decision
Kirkland hits hard but he aint no Adam Trupish. Most of his KOs are by accumulation. Trupish has more power
Are you being ironic? Did a little research on the Turpish. He got humiliated in the Olympics.
Nothing special as a pro so far.

Why are you so high on a 33 year old dude with 10 fights?

decent chance if he can survive the early rounds. The longer it goes the more I think he will gain his bearings and adjust to the pressure
Good point earner!
It took him pretty long to take a man out that was out on his feet from the minute round 2/3 started.
Angulo has an incredible chin.

I'm picking Kirkland early but I'm with you that if the fight goes longer than expected, I can Molina coming on late.
Molina is not gonna stand there and trade with Kirkland a la Angulo. That would be his only chance IMO Molina by decision...unless he gets robbed like he did against Chavez (once for sure, dunno about the other one) Alvarado (was at fight) and Lara. Molina is a LOT better than his record indicates.
WAR MOLINA, gotta redeem Chicago after that sh*tty performance by Donnie George
