What do you think of the selection of Mosley as Canelo's next opponent?

Canelo doesn't fight like Sergio Mora.... You just stated the obvious. What does Shane struggling to beat Mora say? If Shane stll had it, do you think he struggles against Mora?

He's officially the gate keeper, not much of a surprise though.

I can see either one of these guys wining, but I can't give either one of them any real credit for the win. If Mosley win, he beat a "C" class fighter, if Canelo wins, he beat a totally shot Mosley. It may be a competitive fight, but it still sucks.

I really wouldn't mind watching Mikey dispose of Broner And he very well might. lol But I think the outcome between those two is very much up in the air. That's why it would be such an interesting match-up.

Lol why are you taking this so personally? AB needs to step up his level of competition too. I would love to see AB fight a Gamboa or Garcia, I think Rios is too big. People are making it seem like Mosley got beat by a bunch of bums. He lost to the top 2 fighters of our generation. I don't really think he was trying 100% with Gomez... it seemed like he was testing new things out. Broner will get knocked out soon enough He struggled against Sergio freaking Mora.

He's a poor man's Mayweather, but that's not an insult for such a young kid. He has some natural qualities that simply can't be taught. Adrien might actually become significantly better than he is now. He's already easily the best guy in a very weak division.

I don't think people should count mosley as a sacrificial lamb cause the man still can punch, and i believe he will rise to the occasion and put up a good fight also if he sees window he might try to get canelo out of there early. I got mosley for the upset.:439: Canelo is slow and easy to hit but I just can't envision Shane putting in more than 3-4 good rounds at this stage. Mosley will fade as the fight goes on. He will need to catch lightning in a bottle.

I'm just going to cut and paste some earlier comments I made in a thread about overrated fighters: I think "Canelo" is a decent fighter, but he just doesn't impress me as someone that'll be great some day. The kid's 39-0-1 at the age of 21. He's being carefully built as a piggy-bank. But an old, shot Shane Mosley might actually expose the young pretender. Saul's handlers might very well regret the name they chose to add some glitter to Alvarez's resume. Now, I'm not saying Shane will win (and I honestly hope not, he needs to retire already), but he could pull one out of his hat or at least provide "Canelo" with a real scare.

As long he doesn't keep trying to tap gloves and run away then it will be more competitive than his last fight.

I dont know...are there that many 21 yr olds out there who could destroy Mosley like ppl are assuming? He has that d_amn belt and it pisses people off...other than that I think its a good matchup for the moment. I won't debate ppl's frustrations with the guy though......I try to ignore the belt thing but, yes, it's pretty ridiculous situation they have placed him in. Anyway, he's usually been very active with making fights, is moving up fairly fast, so it not that big of a deal to me he's taking the time fighting Shane right now. on a PPV with two of the other biggest names in the sport. HBO could have blown part of their budget for this fight and put it as a main event, then I'd be annoyed

Well, word is Vanes gets Molina/Kirkland winner and winner of THAT fights Canelo. So.. nelo will probably fight Bundrage inbetween lmao
