" If this is true and Floyd takes the fight and defeats Martinez in Dec, does this make a fight with Pacquiao irrelevant? I see Sergio as the greater challenge, and apparently the most lucrative of the two given the split, and unless Pacquiao looks all world against Bradley the outcome of a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is pretty favorable towards Floyd. Which fight would be more competitive?

Floyd is fighting Cotto at 154 but won't fight Martinez unless he weight drains him down to 150? Floyd only takes fights he knows he can win and he only takes fights that he has all the advantages in to win. Even if SM agrees to the 150, Floyd will still never fight him. Why risk his health when he can make $40M per fight from the sucker public to see him fight Alverez instead. I for one will never pay for another Mayweather fight unless he takes a risk, which means I will never see another Mayweather fight because he will NEVER take a risk
"Mayweather/Martinez would be a classic, and Martinez string of 4 consecutive Ko's with 3 being title defenses looks like promotional diamonds."
The Truck
thats why i made about this like 10 mins ago i got a wide but close UD,, for mayweather,, but hell like you if it makes money it make sense lol,,,
how you got this fight playin out?
I think a Floyd UD is probably right, tbh it depends on how Martinez fights If he fights with his hands down throwing single shot like he is tonight Floyd would pick him apart and look like an amatuer.
If he sorted his defense out, used good movement, and aggressively throws punches in bunches he would give Floyd a good fight.
I'd like to add that I think Martinez is overated, he hasn't really fought anybody of note and has struggled a bit in his last two fights.
so based on that I have a feeling that the first option is more likely and Floyd would make Martinez look old.
good fight i wanna see it!,,, but floyd eats him up with counters all night!
Martinez wouldn't be able to fight all night with his hands down thats for sure!
doubt Floyd would be able to hurt Martinez tho, and that might cause Martinez to aggresively fight Floyd a la Ortiz, who had some success against Floyd before the sucker punch...
Would be a cracking fight.
Martinez would ko Pacquiao
I believe Martinez is the only person that can beat floyd and i'm a floyd fan i would love to see that fight it would be a great fight either floyd could win by a close decision or Sergio wins by decison or late ko i don't see that a ko happening but you never know.
I don't even know why people even talk about Pac vs floyd like it would be competitive Pac can't even outbox Marquez Floyd would toy with Pac.
Mayweather vs Martinez is the harder fight by FAAAAAAR!!!!!!!

floyd would be dumb not to take that offer. it would be a great payday for PBF...
