not in the slightest. he comes across as a proper dick head. and his post fight comments prove that. he got what he deserved.

I don't feel bad at all. Lopez honestly had it coming after the Mtagwa fight. I was even surprised to see he was still so favored against Salido in the rematch. Salido has had a lot of downs in his career. Two wins against Juanma at this stage in his career makes me feel good for him.

People are too sensitive. Who gives a shit what he said about the ref after being knocked out and in the heat of the moment. If you were a fan and that made you not one then your mind is as fragile as a woman. I don't agree with the comments he made only because the ref didn't do anything that warranted any suspicion, and even in the heat of the moment, it was uncalled for. But I still felt bad for dude, he rematched a guy who stopped him, fought to the best of his ability and came up short. Comments aside, it was a good night of boxing, I enjoyed the fight, and I thought the stoppage was good, too. If JuanMa wants to continue his career, as I think he should, he should definitely seek a different trainer, new strength and conditioning trainer included. I think he may have reached his peak with the guy(s) he's with now and an alternate path may help in furthering his career some. :boxing:

No, he fought hard but if he can't have a good defense at this level then no. He was classless in his defeat. Never seen somebody take punches fight after fight and don't even try to learn some defense. Even Gatti was trying to move his head more at the end of his career

It was a great fight... I fealt bad that one of them had to lose... I starting losing the "feeling bad for..." feeling after Juanma started making accusations that the ref was somehow corrupt. Great fight though, hopefully it will be remembered as such.

Not at all. He fought w/ heart, but Salido is clearly a tougher, stronger fighter. Juan Ma making excuses at the end didn't help either. Very limited fighter.

Why? Everyone in my house was mad at him and talking ***** about him and most of the people watching the fight know him personally. Everyone is mad at him, specially for his arrogant behavior. He showed lots of heart and really wanted it. Felt bad for cat when he went down. i was yelling for him to get up, which he did, and i was pleased. but then i saw him reeling around. his lights went back out briefly after he got up. i wanted the fight stopped he gave 100%. that is going out on your shield. i'll always remember juanma as a real warrior. i dont think he needs to retire right away. he shouldnt fight any punchers for at least a year. i do think his run at the top or as an elite / could be great fighter has been done for some time. at 130 there are no fights, at 135 he will get destroyed by bigger guys. his style does not make for a long career. personally i never saw it, and thought they jumped the gun at ring magazine ranking him p4p so early. he's actually got a good chin, looking back. he gets hurt, dropped, even stopped, but along the way he's taken real bombs from hard punchers. salido looked very good and i want him to get a very big fight. talk about earning your stripes, he went to PR to do that twice. i'd even like to see him against marquez. he has earned it, and they arent that far apart in size. marquez is a small LW who had a hall of fame career at FW and siri is a huge FW same height same reach. put it in a bullring in mexico

No reason to. It happens. IMO I'm probably the only person who think Juanma will be OK. He just needs a new trainer and also work on whatever had him coming into that fight slow as hell. FWIW he is in the same place Marco Antonio Barrera was in after losing to Junior Jones 2x. Barrera was a borderline brawler/boxer puncher who was thought to be done as well. He dug down deep, like the champion he was, and will his way back to being elite again. Juanma has all the tools and with him it's just technique and desire....both of which he can easily improve upon.

Don't feel that bad for him, this is merely retribution for the Caba scenario. It was a great fight that I will add to my vid archive and watch whenever I get an adrenaline rush.

Salido seemed really big last night---a lot more muscle than vs Gamboa. He also recovered from that knocked down quite quickly. Perhaps he's just training more, or in more effective ways. no i dont feel bad. I never like to see a fighter hurt in that ring but i have no sympathy for fighters like juanma who act ****y like there king of the world and have no respect for there opponents. He should take some notes from felix trinidad and miguel cotto, both champions that handle themselves with class which is why they are so famous and respected by all. Juanma acted like arrogant dutch that cant accept defeat. no respect but much respect to salido, guy is a true champion and a humble one at that, the way a real champion is suppose to act.

He has apologised for his foolish remarks now and remeber he didnt have to trade. He couldn have gone on the run but he showed heart so I think he does deserve credit. Any man who has been knocked out by a fighter but rematches him and trades with him even when his gas tank is empty, deserves credit for his heart. Doesnt show much in the brains department but shows he has a heart of a warrior.

he should take a lesson from fres oquendo. he's got the short end of the stick more then once in his career but he always handled it pretty well. juanma is a just a sore loser. he fought bravely but instead of making weak excuses after the fight he should work on that weak defence to protect that chin...maybe give salido some credit for knocking him out TWICE!!!!!!

Lots of people getting pissy about the interview. We all make mistakes. I can't imagine anyone talking straight after getting battered from pillar to post, then getting KO'd. i know give the guy a break already like we all know that shane mosley is one of the nicest guys in the sport but i've seen him make excuses after losing before no one's perfect personally i thought juanma showed tremendous heart to keep taking those punches and carry on fighting alot have guys would have quit it can't be easy getting battered like that infront of your home fans either so what if he was a little salty afterwards i guess the fight with gamboa is well and truly out the window now though
