Salido vs Broner next !

Would rather see Broner vs 130/135 fighters......

hes been protected? how so exactly??? He's not protected at all, his resume is actually pretty good for his level of experience. It's just that his title shot was kind of a setup (can't blame him, Burns didn't want it), and the one time he faced an experienced puncher he struggled despite the serious size advantage. Maybe it's the southpaw factor, and he's probably gotten better since.

Broner is all wrong for Salido. I think Adrien beats Orlando very convincingly.

I just think both Broner and Salido could benefit from this fight... Good payday for Salido if he losses he can go back to 126 and blame it on the weight and retain his title. Broner can cement himself as one of the true next superstars of the sport. And the fans would get a good fight IMO, maybe a similar fight to Salido vs Gamboa.

Salido should stay at 126 Caballero is still there and Mikey is there and possibly a Gamboa rematch

How has Broner been "protected". He fought Ponce De Leon at the age of 21, was suppose to fight Ricky Burns for the WBO Super FW title, but Burns vacated and jumped to LW instead. He fought Litzau, who had just beaten Caballero who was in the Top 10 P4P at the time, and he just beat his mandatory Top 10 ranked Super FW Eloy Perez. For 22, he's doing alright so far. Broner beats Salido by UD. He may knock Salido down in the fight, but I don't see him knocking him out. Salido throws wild punches off balance a lot, but they land on Lopez, who has NO DEFENSE. Broner has a solid deense, is a great counter puncher, far greater speed than anything Lopez has. I say Broner beats him 116-111/117-110, knocking him down once in the fight.

I agree that it would be a good matchup. I am not sold on Broner. He has been protected his entire career and has not been in the ring with anyone capable of coming close to beating him. Salido could beat him and that is why his team will not make the fight. The reason Salido got the opportunity to fight Lopez is because Arum refused to make a Lopez-Gamboa fight because he was protecting his investment and thought Lopez would easily beat Salido. Broner-Salido would be a good fight, though with the promoters, it'd never happen. It wouldn't be quite as good as Mayweather-Castillo. Mayweather and Castillo are still better than Broner and Salido.

I do agree with some points like Broner dont want Salido at this point. But actually i think its a good match up for Broner and Salido IMO would definitely take the fight. This would do wonders for Broners reputation if he wins the fight, Salido has become a solid champion in most people eyes. If he losses i think he could easily re build his career at this point. I think Salido should stay at 126 and go nowhere. Maybe get the fight made vs Caballero which I would favor Salido IMO. He should first get a "gimme" fight tho like someone pointed out.

When was the last time Top Rank had one of their fighters fight an opponent outside of Top Rank without their fighter being the prohibitive favorite?

All I have to say is I completely disagree with anyone who might come in this thread and say Broner destroys Salido. Broner kills Salido. Too big, too fast, too powerful.
