Within recent fights, years, the last couple of decades, boxing judging and scoring has become a joke..... it's totally discredited and means next to nothing except that some how it has influence over the official record.....
how many fights within the last years in time have we seen too many bullmess scoring job.... LOTS to condense it all down to how many times.....
the lopez vs salido fight was a perfect example, to not have salido up by at least 2 rounds in their rematch, SCREAMS corruption, that was absolutely ridiculous, and for juanma to complain about the ref, all the while the ref let juanma foul constantly, so it would keep him in the fight longer...... juanma should be thanking the ref....... probably saved his life....... but what a sore losing khunt...... wow, i was like, "look at juanmas p*ssy bleeding "
i pulled my support for anything juanma does after that little b*tch move, aint no room for that b*tch ***** with that *****......
You can't have a Puerto Rican figher, a Puerto Rican ref, Puerto Rican judges in Puerto Rico and expect it to be fair game (this goes for all nationalities of course).
It's the sanctioning bodies fault that these things happen. There's not a sport I can think of were the people in charge of regulating the sport are doing whatever the hell the promoting companies and boxers want.
Imagine if in the World Cup Soccer finals between Spain and the Netherlands they had a Spanish ref? Or, imagine if the Netherlands had so much influence on FIFA that they decided they didn't want to play the World Cup finals with Spain and instead preferred Uruguay. What kind of sport is that?
Part of the problem is that boxing is a business first and a sport second. Everyday it looks more like the WWE.
when we all anticipate a robbery if it goes the distance weeks before the actual fight has taken place. You know the system is broken.
The perfect way to put it. You know going into fights that certain fighters cannot win on the cards, no matter what happens.
this is why KO's are better for boxing
fighters earn decisions, but get ripped off by people outside the ring
sometimes TKO's are unjust too, but not righteous KO's
knock a guy out and no one gets robbed, everyone is happy
judges are dumb, and corrupted by money/political agendas
lots of people on all levels of boxing need to be fired -- or, if they're too big to be fired, then we just need to stop recognising them as a part of the sport and phase them out. boxers give these corrupt sanctioning bodies and promoters power by fighting for them. they need to realise they have a choice, and if things aren't right they can look elsewhere. if more boxers put this into practice it would force everyone to raise their game. but as things stand the athletes are too myopic; they see a bulkier stack of cash and agree to dance with the devil. so when they are robbed or put on the shelf it's always the product of their own career decisions.
Boxing needs a new point system... Any sport where a judge determines whether u win or lose, as oppose to ur own skill and ability, isn't a true sport...
In basketball, football (both kinds), Hockey, etc... If u do the best, and get the most points, u win
In boxing, MMA, and certain Olympic Sports, u can completely shut ur opponent out, and lose miserably
That's just disgusting
