Alvarez did not want to fight on anyones undercard unless he was financially rewarded for it. Alvarez wanted to headline his own card at Staples Center.
Over pay him to pump up his name, just so they can sell us a ***** fight down the road.
I have criticized Bradly for not fighting some of the fights I thought he should have to earn a shot at Pac, but at least he has fought a lot more tougher fighters then Canelo has and they weren't old and washed up at the time.
Yeah, a co-event, the first co-event for Floyd. Seems weird to me, Floyd is so confident in his PPV power. But he does this.
i think its a pretty clever thing 2 do, its a big mexican holiday n canelo is very popular in mexico. Give mosley/canelo 2million dollars each (for mosley/mora mosley got paid 1million n canelo 200,000) n promote the fight but dont give them any of the ppv money n it will bring in more than 4million dollars, which will increase mayweather/cotto money.
Its not really all of a sudden. Its a "Co-Event"!? lol. Not sure if Saul is making $5 mill, but he had the power to ask for it.

Well he does have a huge following of fans but five mill for a Mosley fight is little crazy.
The more I think about it, what the hell is "Canelo vs Mosley" doing in all the Mayweather vs Cotto banners? That's the first time I see that for a Mayweather PPV. Has that ever happen? Probably a desperate selling tactic by Mayweather Promotions/GBP, taking no chances knowing a lot of people know Cotto is a faded fighter, so they wanna draw as much of a Mexican crowd/Mexican PPV numbers as they can. With Floyd also complementing the Mexican fans in the pressers.

It wouldn't surprise me considering hes who most of the PPV buyers want to see most. Not no feather fisted fighter and no knee taker
Canelo comes to fight and is the right demographic (Mexican) on the biggest mexican holiday of the year
If you take Canelo off the card this PPV does less than Pac-Clottey
canelo basically sold out the staples center when he fought gomez... i mean it could be partially because they played Mayweather - Ortiz via live circuit but most of the crowd was going wild for canelo
I find that very hard to believe consider Mayweather offered Canelo $4 million for May 5th. Canelo wanted at least $8 million. No way is anyone paying him $5 million for Mosley.
u mad????????????
