Is there any fighter from past to present who started at 106 could duplicate Pacquaio accomplishments if he is to fight the same opponents that Pac went through?
Pac was the only boxer in history who has
4 lineal titles
8 division titles
I do somewhat agree their will be increase of fighters that can achieve it, but still not all young fighters skipping amateurs could do it, case in point a lot of Asian barely pass by amateur stage and need to earn a living by boxing, majority of them ends up just accomplishing that becoming a pro but nowhere near Pac's accomplishment
IMHO only gifted/special fighters can do it, throw names like floyd or golden era fighters I could agree, but generalization i could not ...
Good post!
I like Pac and am a fan. And everyone knows I can't stand Mayweather. But Floyd was fighting better fighters on a national and international level for the Olympics. Age is also just as relevant as an amateur and headgear is just a bigger target. Most fighters I have known prefer fighting without it.
yeah i agree on that unless pac was fighting 8 rounders or something

I agree with you.
Floyd was 106 at the same age.
One could argue his accomplishments have been as impressive as Pac's on the whole.
Pac's run is notable for the jump from 20s-30s to WW-JMW.
manny was ko'd to time by local farmers and cigarette thiefs
At Pac's age, Floyd was in the same weight class, but in the amateurs.
So yes, if more fighters start skipping the amateurs and fight in their teens. Sure they can.

Floyd got 6 loses at that age in the amateurs! Pac has 2 as a Pro.
Thats not the point. Imagine you are 90 lbs kid fighting full grown 106 men in pro boxing. In amateur Floyd wore helmet when he fought equally young fighters.

Anyone can do it.

this is just sad ...
I could think that the greats could have done it but if anyone could do it, everyone would have accomplished it already...

the caliber fighters floyd was fighting were more likely better than the sandal wearing cab drivers manny was fighting in the Philippians.and what full grown man weighs 106 damn pounds anyway???besides a midget **** star or a damn jockey?
I guess you have not been in all parts of the world bro to spout such nonsense!
I also wonder why this thread came about pac vs floyd? why is it that one side has to play down the other?
anyway to answer the TS Floyd is one of those fighters that could have possibly duplicate what Pac accomplished...

Cab drivers? You think Pac at the age of 19 will have a chance to fight the lineal champ Sasakul if he only fought cab drivers? 19 year old 112 lbs Floyd will get his ass owned badly by Sasakul.

Whats the difference? Do amateurs and pro's grow differently?

he didnt get no damn pass.its bullsh1t...ya'll use the damn chart to argue him and floyd are the same size to say manny aint juicing.showing him and floyd were both at 106 at 16 so how the hell would manny get apass and floyds fighting for his 2nd title at 154 withnno catchweight.hell floyd has never won a damn title at a catchweight while manny had to win 2 at a catchweight
remember this

why bother arguing. i agree with you about it being a bs title but he still got it. lots of guys get titles by bull****. vinny paz is like 5 division champ. thats boxing. as far as im concerned if u didnt win the ring belt u werent the champ.
lol at you comparing pro 16 Pacquiao vs amateur 16 Floyd.
what the hell does it matter?? 16 is 16 plus i didnt make the chart.pactards like you did trying to argue mannys case for not juicing
