JML vs Salido revisted...

I get what ya saying,and your right..But Lopez did seem to have his bearings..He was fighting back and was really in the fight as well..I don't know,the stoppage always has left a bad taste in my mouth tbh.. Just felt Lopez deserved better then that.. As the champion, he probably should've been let go out in the blaze of glory.

First fight, bad stoppage. If I was the ref for the second fight, I would have let Salido leave Juanma unconscious so that nobody could argue anything.

Didn't watch the video, just assumed because of the date of this thread you were talking about the second fight. First fight was a little questionable, just because a fighter throws back, it doesn't necessarily mean that fighter has all his bearings. 1 minute after the ref stopped it, JuanMa is still staggering to his corner, but according to you it was a very bad stoppage, haahahahahahaha. This was the first fight not the 2end..Juan was not staggering to his corner in this fight..Not to mention he was still punching and fighting back..Yes it was a bad stoppage...

To both his credit & discredit Juanma is a fighter. When he gets hit he wants to return the favor. I think he just fell in love with his power. I want to route for him because he's younger & has more to give, but it's hard to beat the guy that whooped ya. This post is spot on sir...:drive:

I don't know how true that is,as long as JML pays attention to his defense he should be able to back him up with activity..Jabs and a high guard,I don't know why JML defense is so bad,but it looks like he loses focus and drops his hands when he throws a punch... Salido got dropped twice in his last fight. Both pretty heavy knockdowns, he was hurt both times. He was actually beating the sh*t out of him up until the first KD though :lol1: I'm not sure. I think Salido a better boxer than Lopez but I'm not too sure on this one.

Salido is the underdog in this fight. In two minds whether to put some money down on him.

I'm not saying he has to totally fight on the inside,but he needs to back Salido up..JML has shown he does not fight good on the outside/moving backwards..He should stay behind his jab and dictate space in the ring,he was missing so many shots in the first fight because he did not control distance well at all..He does not have to fight in a phone booth to come forward,but he has to come forward in this fight or suffer the same fate imo... But he cannot back Salido up.

I don't know. I rewatched the fight just yesterday & Juanma did no good work on the inside. His punches were wiffing there. He overshot Salido all day with wide looping punched. The straight lefts found the target but his inside game was ineffective. I saw you agree that he needs to push Salido back. No way, he needs to stay out of range. Pfp Salido is probably the most physically strong 126'ber. It's a tossup to me. Juanma cannot get in aa inside fight with him. find a jab & land long lefts or get slept again. good stopage, Lopez was getting caught with that right hand way to much, He wasnt going to win that fight, and if he hasnt adjusted anything in his fight game he will loose again.
