EXCLUSIVE: Good n bad news about the Gamboa situation.

Let's start with the bad... Gamboa did sign a 2 year extension. He isn't happy about it and he feels he wasn't treated well. Now the good, he does want the fight with Rios! However, in order to accept the fight, he wants a release from Top Rank from the 2 year contract he signed. Gamboa himself will give his version very soon... Its called greed. The dude is already rich, but wants to make more money. He made a commitment and needs to stick to it.

Actually no. Based on people who spoke to Gamboa directly, he wants to cut Arena Box out of the picture and co-promote himself along with Top Rank. I don't see TR cutting out the guy who brought them the fighter in the first place. but Arena's contract with Gamboa expires supposedly before the Rios fight takes place. That's possibly why he is stalling but who knows. i can see how this dynamic could lend more support for gamboa

The same folks asking "why did he sign the extension if hes unhappy" are the same folks that would be calling him a b**h and a duck if this Rios fight doesnt happen the same ones callin him a "diva", a few days ago were mentioning how Gamboas been f**ked out of top fights by Top Rank since 2009. I agree with all of you on something tho, no need to convince me or anything... that signature he gave really fked his chances to pull anything good out of it. However, we don't know how this happened, he's been unhappy with Top Rank for some time, if he signed it was because of a manipulation of some sort. He will talk himself very soon and we will know. Btw, how is Gamboa acting like a victim when he has not said shiet yet? Everything you read here was posted by me. Fight won't happen then. Arum won't release him from that extension. He never should have signed in the first place.

How hard is it to buy out his contract? Didn't Oscar and floyd do it? Can't money may front the bill and sign him? hes neither oscar nore floyd. he doesnt have the power or connections of either man.
