And your point is...
The guy said he'd take a lesser share to make the fight happen since that is what was most important.
Kid just lied to you and you're absolutely fine with that, go figure.
Is the cut above Pacquiao's eye still healing? Bob Arum will not allow him to fight on May 5th with that cut against Mayweather. Pacquiao will not get anything until that cut heals.
The low guarantee is so that he can obey the law and report the amount he is paid on fight night. The real money comes in within the next month or two and it takes up to a year for everything world wide to come in.
recall about a year ago reading a breakdown byan "insider" including quotes from Arum which said that the PPV money is divided approximately equally between the promoters and the PPV and Cable companies. After their PV share is divided between the promoters according to whatever contract they have, MannyP can get as much as 80% of the remaining money, with Top Rank getting 20%. This varies according to the opponent and the PPV take.
Make of it what you will, but it's obvious that Pacquiao, whose share is also split between him personally and his promotional company(for tax and writeoff purposes) makes a lot more than the stated "guarantee".
He probably makes as much as Mayweather pro rata, since Mayweather would have exactly the same expenses as Pacquiao, especially including the promoter since Golden Balls is his promoter. They wouldn't be doing it without being paid.
Mayweather is a bluffer and serious serial liar, who can't be believed. His latest escapades just point up the fact that he's progressively becoming more and more unrealistic and narcissistic. Don't forget he comes from a dreadfully dysfunctional and crazy family. Probably genetically inherited.
Common-sense and logic need to make successful "comebacks".
the bolded is where i stopped reading. cmon son, wise up. If manny is earning so much, why does he still require advances for his fights? Arum is conning him. Correct me if im wrong, but didnt either roach or ariza say that manny was nearly broke and needed the advances or something?
Remember this...
The article goes on to explain that Pacquiao recently gave an interview to Nick Giongco of the Manila Bulletin where he stated, "I will take less money than Mayweather gets because the important thing is making the fight happen."
And your point is...that Pacquiao is the only one who is subject to your standard?
What about this:
Floyd: Pac you're next... I never said that...
Floyd: The only thing that blocks this fight from happening is the drug testing
You have nothing about that?
:usa2:
I've heard any numbers from 25-40% of the PPV, but who knows......only Bob, Manny, and Koncz probably.
Manny's guarantee's are like 6-7 million, but I am guessing he makes a lot more after live gate and PPV revenue is calculated and everything. Probably in the 15-20 million range if I had to guess.
I think 50-50 or 55-45 are good splits for the fight. Until they get their s**t together, it's a pipe dream and I could give a flying f**k about it.
What's funny is that people always take everything Floyd says as what he means and hold him to it no matter what. But, when Manny said he'd take a lower split than Floyd just ensure the fight would happen, he's not held to his word on that by fans. Both lied. Floyd said everything was all good but drug testing, and that's clearly not true. Manny said he'd take a lesser split than Floyd to ensure the fight would happen, that's clearly not true either. So, both f**ked us.
Now, instead of going over the same bulls**t over and over again, we should just all shut the f**k up and at least appreciate we have two good fights in Mayweather-Cotto at 154 and Pacquiao-Bradley.

All ur math is correct, but its already known that he was given a 6 mil dollar purse, Bob said with PPV(against Mosley) he should make 20 million.....basically he got 14 million after profits from gate, ppv, etc.....this is exactly what vision quest was trying to tell Manny, he was being ripped off.....so 20 mil minus the deductions
THAT WAS NOT HIS PURSE
thats what needed to be shown on paper for the N.S.A.C jesus christ
get this PACQUIAO ONLY MAKES 7 MILLION **** OUTTA YOUR HEAD
that was total b.s.
u seriously belive that
7 million is what he has to show on paper
arum explained it all ,
i read his biography he has very smart people in his management team
he made over 25 mil in his last fight
You're the last person on this site to say anyone needs schooling, considering yesterday you said Chavez Jr. might rule welterweight when Pac and Mayweather retire.
Umm wtf? Where did I say that?
The thread was "Who will be boxing's main talent when Pac and May retire"
You're getting your shit mixed son.
Pactards need extra schooling.

Floyd: I'm not going to get in the ring with that Asian midget monster, not even at any cost. I'm an American and America should stand by me :usa:.
:biggthump
:usa:
No i'm not. I just wonder how one justifies such ridiculous responses. But its cool. Enjoy Manny vs Bradley, enjoy floyd being in jail, watch manny JMM 4 in November, have a good day.
Yes you are :lol1:...stop hiding your identity.
Floyd who is known for his greed of money avoided the most lucrative fight in his part-time career. He and his flomos have also been predicting that he'll school Pac in the ring. Mayweather is also the guy who kept saying, "if Pac takes the test, we'll have a fight." Tuned out that it was all an act.
:usa2:
great article! but if you read it you would have seen that mannys ppv with marquez generated 25 million dollars. also i didnt see how much he had to pay marquez. i doubt manny got 25 million. read the WHOLE ARTICLE
you have trouble reading?
"Although we have yet to hear the final dollar amount that 1.4 million buys amounted to, we can assume that, at a price of $54.95 per buy, the total was roughly $77 million."
now where the fvck did you get "mannys ppv with marquez generated 25 million dollars"?
for all you flomos, here's your favorite hype blogger Ben Thompson's dissection of manny's purse in his last fight, which he estimated to be about $25M.

now can you all STFU?!?!

You need to stop listening to Floyd. Manny got a 22 million dollar guarantee for his last fight, plus millions more off the back-end. Common knowledge.
