I have some extra moola i can afford to lose. I'be been watching a lot of Devon Alexander and it seems that he can not handle pressure fights very well. Im looking to bet something north or 10k on Maidana however, what is holding me back is the Matthsye decision, St. Louis, Don King, and 10 rounds. The only way I see Maidana winning is by KO/stoppage. Should I get on the win which is +150 or the KO? or should i even bet at all.
If i had to bet on somebody in this fight, it will be Maidana. Watch again the Victor Ortiz fight, maidana is very accurate with his right hand and not always uses straight shots, he also throws loopings one with good power, he's relentless and in close distance, he can deliver some serious blows to the back of the head or the body, devon has never fought somebody like el chino, mathysse is a good puncher but is not raw as maidana. Styles makes fights, Ortiz was a southpaw like devon and i do think that Ortiz was more powerful and bigger at 140 than Devon is at 147, but anyway this is boxing anything can happen on the other side of the coin, its a 10 round fight in Alexander's backyard but i do trust el chino and i know hes going to bring the heat from the frist round to the last second like he does in every fight, and that is going to give him the edge in the last rounds like in his last big fight against morales so IMO he will be too much to handle for Devon who seems to be at his best when he could fight at his peace and be the one who controls the actions, and that will be impossible against a wildcat like Maidana.
Good luck.
Maidana is gonna have to knock out the number 1 Don King gift decision King. With Cloud coming in at a not too far number 2.
Alexander is now promoted by GBP
maidana is going to get the shaft if he doesn't win by knock out or at least drop alexander 3 x's throughout the fight.......
alexander might be able to handle maidana's style but not sure if he can handle the POP in maidana's punches, but then again, alexander's chin has been pretty damn sturdy in fights, but with pressure combined with power, makes for an interesting match up to say the least......
but following trends throughout the year, i see a screw job coming, and maidana is going to get the shaft....... imho....
I found odds of 4.80 for maidana for the KO!!!!
IMO they are just mad odds for a fighter with a 85% KO rating.
Seriously temping odds lads, thinking of dropping 8 or 9 hungee on it
$4,300 back!!!!!!!!! mmmmm :yeah:
If I had 10K to bet on this fight... 4.5K on Maidana by KO, 2K on Maidana by Decision, and 3.5K on Alexander by Decision to hedge because although I think Maidana will impose his will (which means fighting on the inside, where Devon's weakness lies), Maidana has had trouble against southpaws and Devon's speed, stamina, resilience, and stalling tactics will not be taken out easily.
This is Devon's first fight as a GBP fighter and I don't think they want him to enough to fix the fight like Don King. Maidana doesn't need a KO, he needs to win the rounds decisively.
This is not the fight to go big on. It could go either way. If you want a lock than wait until the Cotto-floyd fight and bet on the over. Also throw some on Cotto to win since floyd isn't taking this fight seriously since hes about to get locked up with bubba
Then we need to talk. I dont bet regularly, only on the NBA/boxing and when I see an anomaly in the odds. I just need some insight on this match.
There is no anomaly, Devon has the better chance of winning
I fcking kill on Ufc parlays,my last boxing bet i got robbed on the Marquez fight.

We dont believe you.The odds are not good why not just parlay a few fights on a smaller bet.
Parlay is the suckers bet. You spread the risk on to many variables. If you make a large bet you want as little variables as possible. They use the payout to entice you to bet parlays, but the risk does not equal the reward.
On Maidana that guy kind of sucks i can see devon outboxing him for 12 rds.
He's just gonna "outwork" him IMO
Throw a million punches, 87% of which either hit air or gloves but still manages to "outwork" him
:ugh:
