OK, there are some pretty good fights going down across the world in the next few weeks, does anybody see any upsets in any of the following:
Broner-Perez
Povetkin-Huck
Juanma-Salido II
Burns-Moses
Martinez-Macklin
Brook-Hatton
Kessler-Stieglitz
More interestingly (of course), who would you lay down money on to pull the upset? Currently have bets on Perez at 7/2, Maidana at 11/8 (yeah, he's not an underdog, but he's still got longer odds), Huck at 3/1 (bit iffy) and Stieglitz at a surprisingly good value 12-1 on points.
Thoughts, opinions, queries, ephemera...

Perez' in and out style is going to give problems to Broner; Broner just does not get himself out of counterpunching mode even when he has to.
Salido should not be the underdog... Salido's either going to stop him again or give him a beating that can't be stolen.
Maidana's a relentless, pressure fighter and Alexander's weakness is on the inside. Alexander hasn't improved his inside defense enough or stalling tactics to avoid the inside exchanges he looks lost in.
Also Kirkland-Molina, Dawson-Hopkins II, Alvarez-Mosley.
Molina and Hopkins are live underdogs.
Out of these fights, Salido probably has the best chance of pulling the upset. I wouldn't say I expect it though. I don't think Maidana will win. Kessler is somewhat overrated and I expect him to be upset at some point, but I don't think this is the spot.
Maybe it'll be like last year and we'll just get upsets galore. Only one I could see one is Perez over Broner. He has the tools to beat him, but I think Broner gets through some tough moments and wins it.
dawson is a 5-1 favorite. Wouldn't hurt to put a little bit of cash on hopkins just cuz he's done it so many times before.
Im surprised by this I figured it would be very even.
Eloy Perez is POSSIBLE...but i wouldn't put money on that
it is possible if Broner is taking him lightly and is underestimating him because he doesn't have a lot of KO's
yeah, but still. I've only seen Stieglitz a few times myself. He doesn't look great, but he's worth those odds IMO.
Perez is the best bet for me, really like the look of him, particularly if Broner gets bored/worried about his hair
perez is another one i haven't seen much of. i'm not sold on broner just yet. i dunno if he was having a bad night or what, but i thought ponce beat him clean. i get the impression that if broner doesn't blast you out early he loses focus and gets off his gameplan so i'm with you on that bet
I have Juanma as favourite, but perhaps not enough to make Salido an underdog. And Alexander-Maidana is the most balanced pick'em fight since Ortiz-Berto IMO
best changes are perez-broner and burns moses IMO.
who's the fav in juanma-salido?
what about maidana-alexander?
btw, GEorge-Rodriguez is gonna be a fun fight.
with nicknames like "da bomb" and "la bomba" it better be haha

Also gauze, surely 12-1 on Stieglitz is worth a pop just in case Kessler's lost a step...
true, i just don't really know enough about stieglitz. with that fight being in denmark he probably wouldn't get a decision though
Upsets yet to come, Mayweather getting a loss. Not sure against who not going to comment on that, but when it comes the whole world will come crashing around everyone that supports him.
I was just struck by how bulky Huck looked. Hopefully it's effective muscle mass that won't slow him down. Just thinking as well that Huck's had plenty of help from judges in the past, might happen here if it's a close fight...
i see salido winning again and i'm with bojangles..i wouldn't really call it an upset. i like molina over kirkland as well. those are both pick'em fights to me.
an upset in the other fights would be surprising to me. i'm not really sure how i feel about povetkin, but i don't think a whole lot of huck either. i'm under the impression that povetkin's training camp hasn't gone as smoothly as he would have liked. he was kinda rocking a double chin in those pics from the other day.
i'd probably throw some money on huck if i was gonna bet on a dog
