I'm not saying this is going to happen or that I even think that this is going to happen, I am simply asking what colour is grass? :boxing:
Lol, well anyway what I want to know is what people on this forum think Floyd will do if he was to lose his undefeated streak? Maybe just run off into retirement? Or keep chasing the high profile fights?
What will it do to his image in the sport as well?
It'd be a wake up call and he'd have to sit in prison thinking about it all the time. That could be good or bad depending on how he handles it. But no doubt he comes for a rematch. He loves being undefeated and he'd want revenge on the one who took it away.
despite what people who can't look past the results think, floyd is actually slightly past prime and sliding just a little. Compare his movement now to what it was a few years ago and if you've any eye at all you will see that much. He should still be able to handle Coto, but Cotto pulling off a shocker (or simply pushing him close) is not the complete impossibility that some people are calling it.
It's an odd one not sure what would happen.
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if he Floyd looked for a rematch or just moved on & continued to fight but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if he retired.
You just couldn't see him keeping his mouth shut on the matter though.
This is like the he won the staredown or he looked buff.
Every fighter is a bit scared, if not you're stupid and are getting your head taken off.
In the end, Mosley got worked very bad in that fight. He could've peed on his shoe before, who gives a ****, it's the end result that matters.
Someone told me that Zab punched Floyd in the face at their press conference...is this true and does anyone have a link?
Mosley got in his head?
All I saw for 11 rounds was Floyd gettin in his.
The only reason Floyd got caught, was procrastinating to come to the ring, looked sad at the final presser, was because he thought he was going to lose...he looked sad and scared ****less that whole final week...dont listen to me...go back and watch how scared he was at the final presser...go back and watch 24/7, how confident Mosley was and Floyd talked as much trash as he could and Mosley was all cool about it and it got in Floyd's head....I remember it like yesterday
Floyd was scared ****less, weeks leading up to his fight with Mosley...he talked all this **** to get in his head, and it didnt work on Mosley...Mosley actually got in Floyd's head just by keeping his kool...at the final presser, Floyd nervously said, "It dont stop may 1st...mayweather promotions is the past, present, future of boxing"...to me what I got from that was, that Floyd thought he was going to lose, but he would continue fighting after the loss....but then again...this was a Floyd who expected to lose...now if Floyd goes in there against someone like cotto, knowing for a fact he would win, and was surprised by defeat...it would catch him off guard and there's no telling what he would do because he wouldnt be mentally prepared for it, like he was one week leading up to the Mosley fight
Bull ****!

if floyd ever got KOd (highly unlikely but still) he would leave the ring right away, lay low for a while, maybe retire temporarily then come back and go after the guy who got him. then he will fight for many more years in a more aggressive style and be active.
if he lost by decision he would make a bunch of excuses and say he didnt lose at first. in a few months he will get over it and get back in the ring, keep fighting and stay more active.
alot of ppl think floyd would just try to go under ground and hide if he ever lost. i dont think so. at first sure, most fighters do. but ultimately i think it would reignite his hunger (not that he ever lost it).
We all keep thinking its gonna happen, but it dosent.
Ortiz was sh!t, and was beaten before he got in the ring,
as much as i like him, Mosley is past it and i think Alvarez is gonna be one fight to many.
I thought Marquez was gonna really give floyd a good fight and maybe even take him.
But floyd schooled him, never thought that would happen with a classy fighter like Marquez,
don't forget Marquez beat manny in the last fight, fvk what the judges said.
Floyd will train even harder as he dosent want to lose,
because to lose would affect how much bargaining power he has in fights for the money, and we all know floyd loves his money.

I would make Pacquiao at 147lbs and Martinez at 154lbs favourite to beat him.
I make the Cotto fight 65/35-70/30 in Mayweather's favour.
I doubt Floyd will take the Pacquiao or Martinez fight.
I think he would have to chase higher profile bouts because his "0" is a big part of his legacy...... But who knows he could be content with what he accomplished in the sport and ride off into the sunset
