I know that Chisora may not have done enough in some people's eyes to TAKE the title, but if Chisora was a champion defending his title Vitali would not have been given the victory.
A lot of Vitali's punches were blocked. Chisora's power shots to the body seems to be overlooked by many.
Chisora was chasing Vitali all night and at points had Vitali literally running away. This was not a Mayweather type ring general landing clean hooks and right hands and moving away. This was a lot of running, slapping, grazing, and hitting gloves.
Vitali would not have been able to take the champion's title with such a weak performance. He was not only disappointed for not knocking Chisora out. He didn't knock Briggs out but he clearly beat the living blood out of him. Vitali was disappointed because he gave a weak performance. It was so weak in my opinion that even a draw would not have been an injustice.
And those cleaner shots were only head shots. The cleaner body shots were all Chisora. Once you get inside the ring you learn to respect body shots. Getting hit in the body is the worst.
I'm far from a Klit fan but the truth is, he won the fight. Did he dominate Chisora? No. What Vitali chose to do was play it safe and outpoint him over 12rnds. Still a bland performance fromn Vitali given the fact that everyone thought he would come in and try and take Chisora's head off
I'm not "banging on" about "showy shots". Some other poster got on that showy shots train. If you scored the fight the way you did then great...good for you.
I still say that if Vitali was challenging Chisora for his title he would not have been awarded the victory based on his performance.
You have to TAKE the champs title and Vitali would not have been seen to TAKE Chisora's title by running for 12 rounds, hitting gloves, slapping, pawing, and grazing the champion all the while getting battered to the body.
Horrible argument that shows someone who really doesn't get the sport and has watched too much Rocky.
If you win more rounds you win the fight. End of story. Vitali won at LEAST 8 rounds and it's not debatable. Doesn't matter who the champ was, it was a decision for Vitali.
these arguments saying you have to take the champs title suck. In my book the guy who wins the fight on the night wins the title (even if its damn close) Screw these people who say you can be second best on the night and still walk away with the belts.
Exactly my thoughts.
I still cant fathom at how Vitali got the shiIt slapped out of him as if he were a $2 hooker then didnt even try to kill Chisora in the ring. Instead he was in full retreat mode the whole fight. Granted he did land the cleaner more accurate punches, but it was a passive performance for someone who just got slapped on live tv.

ive watched this fight 3 times now. The first 5 rounds(pre left shoulder ruined) it was a shut out. Chisora moving foreward with no effect and vitali schooking chisora. 6,7 and 8 vitali imo drew those rounds, but was not using his left hand at all. Barring the 12th were vitali was knackered from fighting out of his comfort zone cos of his left shoulder injury he schooled chisora with his right hand only.
We can all have opinions before the fight, but to have made up opinions about facts is another thing.
I suggest you stop posting.
"schooking Chisora"? lol
Crying about a shoulder? Judges don't say "hey, his shoulder is ruined so lets give him that round".
"oh, he was out of his comfort zone"?
These pathetic responses are boring me to death. Be back later.

Vitali landed a number of clean head shots. Chisora landed some but noticeably less. However, compare body work. Vitali's body work was far outweighed by Chisroa's and they were CLEAN body shots (both jabs and power shots). Chisora hit Vitali's body more than Vitali hit Chisora's face. That's is undeniable fact.

i dont care about some racist ugly internet warrior like you.
I take my opinion, the judges opinions and dan rafaels opinion(neutral) higher than yours...
If vitali was challenging in your weird and wonferful world, i would have scored it the same, 118-110, and would have not argued with 119-109 tbh. Vitali was never hurt from chisora and was landing the over right for fun.
As for back peddling, i would much rather be back paddling whislt clumping someone in the face, than pressing foreward, being ineffective, and eating right hands.
Im glad your not a judge, youd be utter wank.
Ok, then, to counter that I would say that Chisora missed a lot of his shots and you're not giving Vitali credit for his head shots, he did land plenty of them. I'm sorry my friend but if you scored that fight a draw you need to start paying more attention.

i was referring to head shots aka "showy" shots that the OP keep banging on about.
As metioned in my post, the first 5 rounds were complete shut outs, then vitali had to fight outsoide his comfort zone due to not being able to use his main weapon...his left jab. Chisora would have barely landed a body shot.
Chisoras best rounds were 6,7 and 8 and even those i struggled to score to him, i gave it even on pure body work/pressing foreward.
Vitali schooled chisora with just his right hand.

You're dismissing the full content of my argument and only dealing with the aspect of Chisora's pressure as if I'm basing my argument solely on that criteria.
He was not only pressuring Vitali all night, he also blocked many of Vitali's punches. I also don't think he got proper credit for his body work which far outweighed Vitali's body work.

lol your trolling right?

what the hell are you on about???
a one armed vitali on my score card won 118 110. Chisora landed about two shots. If it wasnt for vitaLI left shoulder being ****ed, none of the body work chisora landed would have happened. But even then vitali get hitting chisora with overhand right...
You obviously hate white fighters...
Mathematically shutting out? They both landed about the same number of punches, so your math sucks.
In the case of Vitali he outlanded Chisora by a wide margin.
As far as Haye hurting Valuev, it's mostly fallacy as Valuev's big ass merely tripped over his own feet. If Haye had genuinely hurt him he would have followed up in a very close fight, he didn't.
You say Vitali moved away just like Haye which is plain garbage as well. Haye RAN from Valuev throughout the fight and threw about 1/3 the number of punches Vitali did against Chisora.
The argument is hore****. There you go. No quick witted response just a detailed post on why you are an idiot.
David Haye landed 98 punches
Nikolai Valuev landed 64 punches
That's a difference of 34 punches. He landed about 1/3 more than Valuev. That's not "about the same". :nono:
If I respond to anything else you wrote I'll be repeating myself.
This is another popular failure with people who debate in forums. They too often dismiss the full content of other people's argument, and as a result make failed responses.
you're doing the same thing but can't spot it in your own posts
Would a RbR card be too much??? Seen the fight didn't score it.... From memory I can't recall 6 rds that I would give Chisora..... I'm going to watch it again and would like to compare score cards....
Deal. Let's have both our cards posted before today ends.
