According to broadcasters in the UK, the BBBC may hand out a life-time boxing ban on Chisora for the post fight brawl.
Do you think this would be justified or is this all media hype?
Personally, I think his licence should be suspended for 1 year as an example. Before he vs Vitali I was a fan of Chisora, but he has put shame on the sport and more painfully for me-British Boxing. Yes, it's got people talking, but for all the wrong reasons. In this case any press is definitely NOT good press.
For the love of the sport I hope he gets banned but not for life. This would be massively heavy-handed punishment.
As for Haye-he had his chance to shine against Wlad and all he as achieved since his good cruiserweight career is in running his mouth and making a joke out of the fans trust. He is a pure salesman with no care for the sport and he has proven once again that nothing that comes out of his big mouth can be taken truthfully. I hope he disappears back to his Kingdom of make-believe where he is still heavyweight champ and where he actually lived up to his own delusions of granduer.
Both Haye and Chisora are retarded.
as a Klitschko fan, I say ban David Haye but not Chisora. Haye is the biggest coward on earth and the main instigator in all of this.
Atleast Chisora had balls and came out and fought a clean fight once inside the ring, something David Haye never did, Haye ran for 12rd while dropping to his knees every 5 min, atleast Chisora tried and after the fight never made excuses and gave Vitali props for beating him, David Haye? Oh look at meee Toe, Mee Toe broken cant throw dem eymaker innit?
None of those things are things you can ban a sports person for, you idiot. Just because you like him less, and how he conducts himself, isn't a reason for punishing him more than another.
Haye probably gave about the same amount of props as Dereck did. i.e. he's good at what he does, fought well etc.
You really show little ability to post non biased, objective posts.
It's a little tedious.
For those that are interested....it was reported that Chisora's purse
was 450,000 pounds, which is approx $713,000 USD.
As reported by http://box.sport.ua/news/149345 at a press conference after the fight Vitali Klitschko - Derek Chisora British counterparts, the total fee for the Derek Chisora fight against Vitali Klitschko was 450,000 pounds. This figure included the so-called guaranteed royalties to be paid by Vitali and interest on the sale of the battle the British television channel Sky Sport, MDM on a platform of broadcast podinka conducted on the system pay-per-view (pay and watch.)
Note that this fee is to pay a fine Chisora World Boxing Council (WBC), who sanctioned the fight, for indecent behavior at the weigh in, and slap it against Vitali. Recall, WBC ordered a fine Chisora to 50 thousand dollars.
The fight wasn't on Sky Sports.

He took it way too far when he said he was going to shoot David Haye. And he said it over and over. If he gets banned for life, its his fault. He should be made an example because sports should never reach that level of threatening to kill someone. That said, I'd still like to see him and Haye get it on.
Reading this immediately makes me think of the last time we were seriously debating what a boxers punishment should be.
Margarito....was banned for what, a year.
That's basically a fight or two, which isn't much. That was a far worser offence which carried more potential for serious harm to another human. He should've been banned for a few years.
I think Chisora should be fully banned from boxing for 18 months, for a combination of just 3 of his recent behaviours. Slapping Vitali, spitting at Wlad, threatening behaviour and violence with Haye.
Haye I'm caught, he wasn't the aggressor but he should shouldn't get a license this year.
Chisora should receive a two-year ban.
Haye should receive a permanent ban and prison time for assaulting Chisora with the bottle, and for attacking his trainer with the tripod.
:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:
Some of the responses in this thread are embarrassing. I bet nobody was clamoring for 1 year bans when Larry Holmes was drop kicking cats from the roof of a Buick LaSabre...this generation of fans are soft.
Head and shoulders the best post on this thread.
Any ban meted out would be an absolute joke.

lol. He hit him while holding a bottle, he didnt assault Chisora with a bottle. also i doubt Adam Booth will press charges against David Haye.
Over PC ****tards are going to lose this country 2 great heavyweights and the only loser from this stupidity will be boxing.
Look at all what Chisora has done. He bit Butlins ear, kissed Carl Baker, slapped Vitali, spat on Wlad and caused a brawl with Haye. He's also assaulted his girlfriend and a police officer. If Chisora gets banned for life he deserves it.

More Haye hate I can see. And him getting the blame again, he never used the bottle on Chisora, yeah it was in his hand but he never used it as a weapon.
Chisora walked up to him with his entourage, as he was walking up to him he removed his jacket, and we all know that is a sign of someone wanting to hurt someone, or get in bed with them, so you decide.
Also stating the Haye started the fight itself, well you should look at the pictures that have been posted on this site. You clearly see Chisora's fist dug into Hayes chin, which is why Haye swung.
I hate Haye but certainly have no issue with him throwing the first punch since Chisora is batsh*t nuts.
However, Haye had no business showing up to that press conference and start running his mouth in the manner he did.
For one thing he was there as a paid representative of a television network and therefore should have been conducting himself as a professional. Obviously that's a pretty unrealistic expectation when talking about such a world class c*nt, but the fact still remains.
Secondly, he had been warned by Chisora and knew that what he was going to do was agitate the guy.
So the point is, I don't blame him for defending himself and throwing the first punch. But I do blame him for showing up and putting coals on the fire because I believe he went their with the express intent to start trouble and was quick to throw a punch because he had already mentally prepared himself to do it.
haye should get at least as lengthy a suspension and as large a fine. he started the fisticuffs. i think chisora was heading over there to get in his face and trump up a fight. he had a cut over his eye, he just went 12 rounds with vitali, i dont think he wanted to get into a streetfight with haye at the time. haye kept a bottle in his hand and threw a punch. you can blind somebody doing that.
haye used the weapons
haye picked up the tripod (i even think haye was the guy who hurt booth,)
you cant expect a top flight HW boxer to simply let you punch him in the face

he slapped klitschko at the weigh in
then he got glassed by haye
fought back and then made his threats
i dont htink that's worth a year long suspension
fines? sure
a suspension for 3-6 months?
sure.
but a yearlong suspension in his prime is too much. he did give a good showing in the vitali fight. he made vitali look his age and took plenty of right hands and kept coming.
