British Boxing was already ruined.
From the Horrible Judging by idiots as Ian John Lewis and Terry Oconner where the UK guy wins 100% of the time
To the Horrible Reffing also by Ian John Lewis and Terry Oconner and the other 3-4 same UK refs that do all the fights in where they stop the fight 100% early for the UK guy to win.
To the BBOBC stupidity of letting the "Ref" decide the winner post fight, thats right, UK still doesnt have judges for domestic fights, they just let these blinds Ref's choose the winner, and if its a foreigner vs brit? 100% Brit gets his hand raised.
UK Boxing has been a big joke before this incident even happened.
I think its good for Boxing, but as usual the PC Liberal Pansies in the UK got their knickers in a twist and are on the wrong side of the argument here, again.
Every man and his dog have been talking about this non stop, i'd rather Boxing be in the Gutter and talked about, than up in the sky and Ignored.
Boxing needs publicity, I'd be happy to see this sort of thing every week if it keeps Boxing in the News.
Let's be honest much worse things have happened in Boxing, just look at the recent judging decisions in the USA (Pwil/Cloud Fights) things like that do more harm harm to Boxing than any stupid little brawl ever will.
If Haye/Chisora happens, Boxing will be bigtime in the UK again.
:lol1: nah!!!...this put the HW division as well as British boxing in the spotlight...now its up to the powers that be to allow them their 15 minutes in the light...no need to punish either dude imo...let them get in the ring and go hard!!!...Audley and Haye teaming up to rape the Brits for millions dragged their flag into the gutter imo.....they hyped up a fake fight and now wanna bash a potential REAL fight...GTFOH!!
Chisora is a madman....just like Mayorga, Tyson and a few others...we've seen his kind before....I like him for being a loose cannon....every sport needs at least one!!
Awesome
I thought the whole thing was very entertaining, and I'm glad to see most others do as well (besides all the writers of course who are just being politically correct to keep their jobs).
I was reading a free newspaper today in Sydney, and this story was the main sporting article with a 2 page spread. I've read this paper almost everyday for the last 2 years and it's the first time I've seen international boxing get this sort of coverage (occasionally they'll cover mundine or danny green fights)
On another note, all this talk of Chisora getting banned for life is a joke. Margarito puts plaster in his gloves and only gets a 1 year suspension... James Toney roids out and only gets 6 months... Now Chisora gets into a scrap outside of the ring and they want to ban him for life??? What sort of logic is that!? What kind of idiots are running these boxing commissions!?!?
P.S. I'd much rather see Chisora and Haye fight than see either of them fight either of the Klitschkos again.
I honestly feel it is a positive for the sport!
If these guys wasn't writing making this a negative impact. It sure could of been a huge anticipated fight between Chisora and Haye! :bottle:
agree with coach webb, this division got some attention out of this. it obviously wasn't gentlemen-like or classy like most have said but it did make things interesting and get people talking about HW fighters. hopefully they don't punish chisora. haye's the one who struck first i think.
Boxing is literally a dead sport in the eyes of the masses. They only hear about it once or twice a year when the big PPVs take place. To have some buzz, specially on its crappiest division is great. I mean i dont get these articles or reporters.. yoiu want boxing to stay boring and quiet as it often is?? I love me some controversy and drama hehehe. Makes it more exciting.
Call me crazy, but the post-fight caught my interest--following it on twitter, getting the video, police...classic wwe drama....just what the division was lacking...i commend anyone who wants to punch david haye, though shoot is obviously nuts.
