I dont think so.
they are saying he redeemed himself with his win over maidana where he barely survived...how about beating the guy knocked you the f**k out? also he needs to get that maidana rematch off his back also lol
Pescott has blown his chances with his loses.
If he had a string of vicotries I would be strongly for the rematch before some of the loses. Right now I see no reason for a rematch
How is Khan not world class?
No matter how much you might dislike, theres no denying hes top 3 at 140, even after losing to Peterson
how is this a serious question??
the only thing world class about him is that people around the world know him, cause they did a bang up job of hyping him up. a top 3 at 140? good for him, where is he at 147 where he wants to fight? top 15? awesome...
Theres not much to like about khan imo. Everythng from his ego, running his mouth, whining and crying, to having to run away for numerous rounds just to survive fights.
Depends on who you asking. Khan fanboys hope he never avenges that brutal loss. A boxing fan would love for him to. I don't have that problem, the majority of fighters that I support don't cherrypick. That's why I like them.
I agree it would have been foolish to accept an immediate rematch, but a true champion would avenge a loss as a matter of honour. It would have been a far better fight than McCloskey.
Khan would fight him any time, but those who select his opponents do not want a Prescott match-up.
Also, who fights for honour and legacy these days?
It's all about the money (more's the pity).
Not all KO losses are created equal.
When a guy blasts you out in less than 60 seconds, there aren't a whole lot of excuses NOT to rematch him. C'mon, now.
exactly. he needs to just get prescott over and done with. if hes so great and an A level fighter which he portrayed to be he should blast out prescott the way prescott blasted him within those seconds

If you wanna be a true great, you have to avenge your TKO losses, regular losses or disputed wins, or at least attempt to avenge it. Because other fighters didn't avenge their TKO losses, doesn't make it right.
While Pacquiao didn't avenge his TKO losses to Sinsurat and Torrecampo, he did avenge his loss to Morales, and at least tried to convincingly beat Marquez. While people think Castillo beat Mayweather the first time and still hold it against him, Mayweather did immediately fight Castillo again and beat him again. Taylor lost pretty bad against Pavlik the first time, by TKO for his first loss, but immediately wanted the rematch and attempted to get revenge but fell short. Jones-Tarver III, etc.
I can go on but it doesn't matter because Khan is just a good fighter, not a great fighter, and he has said himself that he wants the best when they're no longer prime. So it doesn't matter if he avenges his loss to Presscot or not, he shoulda done it right after the loss. A win over Breidis now means nothing, he's lost 4 times already and is 5-4 in his last 9. It would be a Cotto-Margarito II like win, only worst cause Khan is not "damaged goods" or "Past it" like Cotto.
Theres no way in hell Frank Warren would've entertained an immediate rematch. He didn't even want the first fight and only took it on advice of Khan's new trainer. As a promoter, it would've been stupid for him to risk it immediately again without giving Khan a chance to improve and rebuild.
Remember, Khan was still little more than a prospect at the time. The other guys you mentioned were experienced pros. I think if Prescott had "kept his end of the bargain" so to speak, there's no way Khan could or would have not rematched him

no its an act of a coward
Tell Chavez jr to rematch that guy he won that title from that was a close fight hitch I think he lost if that boy woulda had some power we wouldn't be hearing about jr
I dont think so.

I got it if khan beats Peterson
Then Prescott can fight maidana and who ever wins that can fight khan and it can be in Europe and we can stop getting these every time khan fights or talks about a rematch someone brings up prescott you should be happy he's not fighting him at least he's trying to show good fights.
But to answer your question yeah I mean he loss but he's been taking on harder fights. I mean do you really think Prescott wins I don't just a punchers chance I would like to see that maidana rematch tho

I wouldn't be against it but its not really mandated. It happened a while ago at a lower weight class. If Prescott had continued to win and actually become a factor at 140, then it would be neccesary.
Pacquiao never avenged his KO losses. Wlad never avenged his. Sergio never avenged his TKO to Margarito. These guys are still rated at the top and have had great careers.
People will probably hold it against Khan forever though
no its an act of a coward
Prescott has been knocked the **** out, and keep going in a downward spiral in his career. If he truely want a rematch he shouldve won his fights instead of losing to bums after knocking out khan. **** Prescott got stopped in his last fight. How come khan should rematch Prescott especially if Prescott don't even try to rematch any of the bums that beat him.
