canelo will beat the **** out of mosley and get zero credit
winky's got the better shot
he's got a great chin
the williams fight was a horrible style for him (a southpaw with HW reach who was able to beat on and around his guard all night)
winky's still got the chin and knows how to land punches. if he's dedicated again i'd give him the best shot, even if i doubt he can pull it off.
Is anyone willing to lay their hard earned money on either one? If you aren't, you're just blowing smoke up our asses. Both dudes are stepping stones.
I'd def put real money up for the right price. Can't say no to HUGE odds.
Still with that said I'd expect to lose.
Very interesting question. I would HEAVILY favor Winky to beat Mosley in a third fight. I would HEAVILY favor Winky to beat more contenders than Mosley. I think Saul Alvarez is a much more talented fighter than Peter Quillen. Yet... I would answer that Mosley has more of a chance than Winky stylistically.
Shane has the punching power and an opponent that takes risks and always aims to score KOs even if it means running through punches. Winky might have trouble with Quillen who rarely tries to look 'impressive' and is much more content on just getting the win even if it's a boring decision.
Conversely, however, I would be less surprised if Winky won than if Mosley won. I see a bad beating for Mosley but am not sure what will happen with Winky. If Winky isn't past his sell by date completely then he really could get Quillen to the ropes and hit him with a lot of shots. Mosley can only hope he can hurt Alvarez but has no actual hope of winning on talent or craft. Alvarez, a little before his prime, is actually a much more skillful boxer than Mosley ever was. Mosley can't win a decision without his power being a factor. Winky can outbox Quillen.
I have a better chance at getting an A+ in my Contracts exam in Law School than Mosley or Winky have of winning. Please note, our law school only authorizes professors to give out one A+ during an exam
I wouldn't bet on them. If they did win it would be good if they just rode off into the sunset and hung up the gloves, but we know they would just keep fighting. Too bad!
well let me rephrase it
i dont think shane gives a damn about winning... however i think winky wants to win this fight badly
not meaning either will win but they guy that wants it will have a better shot IMO
What makes you guys think that Winky has a better chance than Mosley does?
again, mosley is just there for a check
winky isnt even getting a decent check that i know of, so he has a lot more to gain by winning...
i dont know that they'd put Canelo up against Mosley if Shane had any intention on winning
Why do you guys give winky a better chance then Mosley?...he hasn't won a fight since 2006 and hasn't fought in several years either
He is old and his defensive type style would get easily worked over by a younger fighters work rate
idk about mosley, he's just in there for a check
but i'd like to think winky has a shot :)
Mosley nope.
Winky has a shot.
What makes you guys think that Winky has a better chance than Mosley does?
I think Winky might put up a decent fight but he won't be active enough to win, just too much rust combined with old age
I can see this being the fight which forces Mosley to retire, Canelo will have his coming out party on May 5th, Shane is past his prime but is still a big name. I could see Canelo being the first man to stop Sugar
