If Cotto vs Floyd is a close fight will the judges give Cotto a fair shake?

big if, but why wouldn't they? people want Floyd to lose there's big money in a rematch if Cotto manages to pull it off no reason to think a rightful close decision would be stolen from Cotto highly doubtful he even makes it close, let alone wins though

Cotto has gotten a good ammount of fair shakes in Madison Square Garden, let's not forget his closes fights with Mosley and Clottey and the BS stoppage of Margarito. Only close and questionable fight Floyd has had is against Castillo years ago.

Being a Cotto fan a little part of me would like to think that would be deserved for Cotto due to the Margarito hand wrap issue and the 145 against Pac but being a boxing fan 99% of me hopes that the judges score it fair no matter which way it goes.. As much as im a Cotto fan as i am with many other boxers i would never want any boxer to get an unfair victory in any manner.. Regardless of whether its a boxer i like or not stuff like that only harms the sport i love.... A honest and great post.

Could go either way. Maybe Cotto will get some rounds just for being competitive. Realistically, I don't think it will come down to this. Floyd struggles with agressive pressure fighters more than boxers. Cotto isn't a big pressure fighter and we know he won't outbox Mayweather. I don't see it any other way than a UD 12 or late TKO on cuts for Floyd.

Believe it, if the fight is close, Bob Arum even thou he is not involve in the promotion, he will do his magic so Floyd can loose and he dont have to match Pac against him. He dont want to give Floyd the chance to whoop his boy, so he will do anything to help Miguel. Arum works with the devil. If it is a close fight it will probably go Cotto's way. Unless Floyd is dominant in a round people will focus on the work done by the underdog.

Yes he does!! Cottos a well liked received and respected household name.. I dont think theres anyone whom he couldnt get a fair shake against!! I believe he has a legit shot to beat mayw! More so than marq and ortiz did.... I also think cotto will be completely ready in all phases for this fight, bigger healthier more focused.. Mayw is going to have a rough nite... Key is if mayw can get into cottos head enough to distract his focus, which is a real real possiblity. First mayw fight im actually looking forward to.. I think it'll be a close fight. At times Mayweather will be fighting from the back foot and at times Cotto will be fighting from the back foot. I think Vegas judges will be legit. If this fight was in Texas or something, it'd be strange and I'd be concerned. A good question would be, if Cotto lands a hit that puts Mayweather on his ass, are we going to get an extremely long count? And vice versa

Miguel will get a fair shake. He's never been on the end of any decisions that went badly against him, Mayweather hasn't benefited from many, if any, so I think it will be fine. I believe it will be a good fight for the sport and have confidence it will be scored fairly. Arum isn't involved.

Whats the odds bob realises Floyd and Manny isnt going to happen and that Manny is going to retire very soon and Bob tries tosell him down the river at some point? Bob is a money grabber and i can see him trying to cash in on pac at some point. But i doubt Bradley is the guy he is gonna do it with.

Do you's really think that Golden Boy/Mayweather Promotions will want to jepordise the Pacquiao fight? Immeaning close as in say 7-5 in Cotto's favour will he get the nod? There will be no Manny fight. Manny/Bradley winner will fight JMM/Peterson winner in Nov. This fight will never happen.
