"Bob arum- manny told me u again tried to get him to fire me. Is it Alzheimer's or are you this ****ing stupid! Hope u Enjoy my new article," Ariza wrote on his Twitter page. Advertisement It's insider knowledge that Ariza's head was indeed on the chopping block prior to the Mosley fight last year. Ariza is an outspoken guy, sometimes too outspoken according to Freddir Roach himself. Who can forget about his blasphemous comments about God coming down to help Marquez against Pacquiao? It's been more than a few times when Ariza has gotten himself in the middle of Pacquiao's relationship with Arum by openly criticizing the Top Rank CEO in the media. Ariza's name was also involved in some controversy prior to Pacquiao's fight against Marquez last November when the Filipino icon had an outburst and threw a cell phone outside a window. And while Pacquiao has also complained about cramping up during his previous 3 or 4 fights, one has to wonder whether Ariza's value outweighs the distraction he creates. Truth is, only Pacquiao really knows the answer to this. The two have developed a tight bond through years of working together, and Ariza knows Pacquiao's body more than anyone at this point. Ariza is responsible for helping Pacquiao carry his power and explosiveness up in the higher weights, and deserves all the credit for the body of work he's done. He is definitely a valuable piece in Team Pacquiao. The main problem with Ariza is that he oversteps his boundaries and loves the spotlight too much. He loves taking credit for much of Pacquiao's success and has a tendency of sticking his foot in his mouth when talking to the media. The last person I want to hear controversy out of is someone who's supposed to be helping Pacquiao get in shape. Go stretch the guy's hamstring or something, instead of talking about his finances and creating more distractions. When have you seen a strength and conditioning coach with the gall of putting out all sorts of drama about an athlete in the media? Imagine if Kobe Bryant's strength and conditioning coach started talking about his NBA contract or that he should leave the Lakers. No wonder Mayweather's pom-pom boys love talking to Ariza so they can make Pacquiao's camp look bad. Ariza needs to learn his place and shut his mouth. There's nothing wrong with self-promotion and loving attention, but when it comes at a price wherein you're becoming a distraction to your boss, that's when it has to stop -- and of course, he needs to address Pacquiao's issues with cramps. Ariza may be valuable, but it doesn't mean he is indispensable. Erik Morales and Diego Coralles did just fine after they fired Ariza. I don't see why Pacquiao won't be if he fired him too. Does that mean he should? Only "Pac Man Knows". All I'm saying is, with or without Ariza, Pacquiao will still be Pacquiao.
