As fans, yea we would have liked to have seen Bradley-Khan. I definitely would have.
But from Bradley's perspective...he got himself out of a deal with a small time promoter, dodged a legit threat in Khan, and hten signed with a promotional giant.
He then proceeded to get paid $1 million against the ghost of Casamayor followed by landing a freaking Pacquiao fight. Meanwhile Khan went to DC and lost to a guy Bradley shut out.
We, the fans may not have won....but my god, Bradley sure did. That whole saga literally couldn't have turned out better for him.
Had Bradley beat Khan it would've made his fight with Pac all that much sweeter...promo would build up nicely considering Freddie would want his revenge on Timothy
Khan didn't fight McCloskey to duck Bradley.
Bradley ducked Khan to fight Casa.
Spare the sob story about how he'd been out of the ring. He CHOSE TO.
And if he was so confident about beating Khan, why does it matter?
All that aside.
It all boils down to the fact that Bradley was running his mouth, calling out Khan. To which Khan said let's do it and Bradley said no.
All the other parts of the story don't even matter at this point.
If that's not an obvious duck I don't know what is.
:haha:
Another fact people like to "conveniently" forget too is - Bradley hadn't fought in nearly a year... and he was supposed to come back and fight Khan straight away???
It's okay when Khan fights McCloskey as a supposive "stay busy fight", but Bradley who had been inactive for almost a year (with promotional issues) was supposed to come back and fight Khan immediately - even while changing Promotional companies and being put in the Pacquiao sweepstakes. :fing02: The double standards are incredibly staggering when it comes to the Bradley/Khan debate.

i wouldn't completely count Bradley out...
so you're saying he should have had a stay busy fight with Khan right before PAC...gotcha

Again, just showing lack of knowledge of actual events.
He had a contract with Shaw...if he fought Khan he would have had to reup with Shaw. If he does that then he's stuck with Shaw and you can bet your ass there's no Pacquiao fight happening now.
That or he's knee deep in litigation and inactive for a year.
He had already extended his contract once to Shaw to fight Alexander. Then Shaw also decided to take his grievences to the media, talking sh!t about the very guy he wanted to sign for a lucrative fight FOR HIM (this was while they were still going back and forth about offering Bradley shares of the U.K. PPV, so nothing was decided at this time). Why the hell would Bradley sell his soul to Shaw, who is in the media talking sh!t about his own farking fighter, and even consider fighting under Shaw Promotions at that point?!?
Bradley was considered pu$$y for ducking Khan, a fight in which if he had won he would have become undisputed champ at 140. He will now gain the fianancial benefits of that duck by fighting Pacman but in the ring he will take a battering.
Bradley has pretty much schooled every fighter he's faced, even Holt who dropped him twice got outworked every other round. No that any of those fighters were Pacquiao, but I think people are underrating Bradley and overrating Pacquiao for this one.
Everything all worked out perfectly for Bradley to be honest.
Signing with Top Rank was a great move no matter what anybody says. He didn't take on the Khan fight but now with Peterson beating Khan it took some of the heat he was catching since he schooled Peterson. Bradley biggest knock is that he isn't a draw but now he's in line for a huge PPV event that will get his name out there. So what if a few boxing nerds were calling him a coward for a while? He's about to fight Manny freakin' Pacquiao, and Khan can't even beat a Bradley "leftover" (I hate that term but y'all know what I mean). Not to mention Arum gave him a cool million for beating up a washed up Casa. Bradley is Boss!
So Bradley a ***** for fighting Pacman. The number 1 or 2 fighter in the world. You done lost your mind.

:lol1:
Okay...that made me laugh. No offense to Khan.
Bradley ducked Khan. That much is undeniable.
Do I blame him? Not really.
Whatever anyone thinks, Khan is a legit threat to Bradley. And Bradley knows that. The possibility of losing to Khan would mess up a fight he obviously believed he could get with Pacquaio.
Again, I don't blame him. I'd have done the same.
But the fact is, he ducked him. He should have fought him. The timing was fine and it's the fight everyone wanted, and he turned it down.
I hate when fighters don't fight each other, for whatever reason or whoever is to blame...but ducking Khan for Pacman doesn't sound like ducking to me. How the whole situation went down between Khan and Brad looked like a b***h move but when u see what came of it, u have to think that it was worth it. Money wise, legacy wise, and exposure wise etc...Pac>>>>Khan!!!
Except that he ducked Khan for Casa
Yea, cause Shaw told the media he'd let him out of his contract you believe it? That's incredibly naive.
Even if that wasn't an issue...I'm not delusional, Khan's a major threat. If I can get paid 1 mill for a tuneup in lieu of a Pacquiao fight as opposed to taking about the same money and potentially losing and missing out on the Pac fight...I'm gonna take option A. You call that being a poosay...I call it smart business.
Agree to disagree.
And you believe Tim "stop running Khan" Bradley? Thats incredibly niave.
I call it both. Just because its "smart business" doesn't mean hes any less of a biitch for not having the balls to fight Khan first. And he wouldve made more money doing so.....so was it actually that smart? I guess if you know you cant win the Khan fight.
He didn't have to re-sign with Shaw. Shaw confirmed this several times.
And he could've fought Khan in December. Whats the official excuse for that?

Why would it be giving up a major payday? He would get two major paydays if he actually believed he could beat Khan.
But he didnt.
Ergo....puussy

So you're the guy that would give up on major $$$ down the road just to avoid people calling you a poosay. That's the guy that gets laughed at later on and no one remembers he tried to act tough.
