Why do most of the Mayweather haters believe all his fans are black people?

I am Pakistani and a Mayweather fan. Well a boxing fan in general but Mayweather is one of my favourite boxers.

I'm a Mayweather fan and I'm not black. I do separate Floyd the boxer from his persona outside the ring, because I think he's a tool most of the time. It's almost like the price of his genius in the ring is to be semi retarded outside of it. You summed up my feelings there...

I used to like mayweather up until the mayweather-ortiz 24/7 episode where he dissed his dad the way he did... calling him a cab driver, and a broke down trainer yelling at him to get the **** out his gym... That doesn't sit well with Latinos we have lots of respect for our family ESPECIALLY our fathers... my father wasn't even in my life and I heard he done some bad sh1t to my moms and everything and even I wouldn't talk to him the way mayweather talked to his dad man, have some respect puto! if mayweather was a Latino he would've got checked that night by his brother or uncle for that.

This is a terrible thread. It assumes that the vast majority of people that make disparaging remarks about Mayweather stereotype his fanbase. This simply is not true, and the insults seen on this site that may look like they support the TS's argument is perpetrated by a minority and are personal attacks, because of the person they are arguing with rather than their general point of view. It is far more common to see someone called Pinoy because they show support for Pacquiao.

You can say the same about a lot of boxers and sports people in general. most people think most Cotto fans are from P.R. and most Hatton fans where white Brits. most Pac fans are Filipino. most Klit fans are eastern European. Most Khan fans are Muslim. Most of Tim Bradley's 5 fans are black Americans. Point is its not exclusive to Mayweather fans or even boxing its just the way a lot of people think at the end of the day liking people because of there race or country they where born in is what small minded people do.

Its probably also because the sport has a wide variety of fans as well. From the lowest of the low to Brad Pitt and Denzel and Eddie Murphy.

Because most people are morons, that's why they think that.

I live in Seattle, one of the most diverse places on this planet and I have coworkers and friends who are mayweather fans. And I'm talking about african-american, mexican, white, indian, and believe it or not some filipinos so it's absolutely a stereotype.
