I thought the same thing. Lamotta must have been very difficult to be around with his cantankerous mind games ways and with this is the mellowed out old version here. What the hell was he like when he was young. Put it this way. He was a saint in the movie Raging Bull compared to how he really was (according to how he described himself in the book). Quite frankly, he was a complete scumbag as a person.
