Bob Arum stable in bad shape- nobody in there

A lot of you dudes blame Arum solely which is quite ridiculous. There are match makers. Not only that the fighter themselves have a team. They have an adviser and/or manager, a trainer etc etc and the fighter himself that also has to do with the opponent they fight. Some fighters like Juanma, Chavez Jr, Gamboa and others are co-promoted. So it's not just Top Rank. But, again cuz' Arum is always talking they just blame him. Anyways, Top Rank isn't losing any luster. It's arguably the best promotional company in the game right now. I don't know any other American based promotion company with the resources that Top Rank has. Top Rank is the last real promoter with perhaps Main Events. That they don't need the networks. They use the networks but they don't need them. The rest of promoters need the networks. Which is why the networks are becoming promoter-like because wannabe promotional companies can't do it without them.

on stand still i said some harsh things bout bob i would like 2 take back....but what is it worth makin fake stars....chavez,bradley,etc ....n dont want 2 put them n wit thee elite......he wants there fans money...lopez never fought callabero manny never fought mayweather etc etc.......top rank will never fall but it lost a lot of luster

Top Rank is actually bring up Chavez Jr quite nicely. I can kinda agree with you here. Lets just say Bob did what he had to do to let him develop properly.

Dont be surprised if Bob wants Bradley to beat Pacquiao. Pacquiao only has a few more fights left while Bradley is new with no fanbase. If Bradley beats Pacquiao he will immediately have a fanbase then Bob can hype him up and protect him from fights like he is doing with Pacquiao and Chavez Jr. Top Rank is actually bring up Chavez Jr quite nicely.

Top Rank never runs out of mediocres to hype up and fool the public. My point exactly. Bob has his people that support him in the media to hype up his fighters. Thats why he can say a cut takes 6 months to heal and most people pretend like its a good excuse.

He has some young talent. These cash fighters(Floyd, Pac, Cotto) are on the way out. And, he still has one of the top 3 draws. And, BTW Cotto might be a draw but a very distant third. I don't think he has had more than 300k PPV buys if Marg or Pac wasn't involved. Arum still has a young stable with solid prospects like Magdaleno and maybe the next star in Jose Benavidez. People are still waiting or hoping(whichever) for the demise of Arum/Top Rank. But, it's not going to happen.

He just needs to Stop doing that inhouse thing and his fighters will be happy and so will the fans.

Arum has built-up many fighters/champions through the decades and has been promoting longer than some of us have been alive. Top Rank is still ahead of Golden Boy, DiBella, Gary Shaw, Don King.

Seriously no one has thought about Gamboa? I know he doesn't have the hugest fan base (when is hte last time a Cuban boxer has) but he is going to be a top fighter in any division he goes into. I though about him, but decided just not to bother. Far to many dumbells on this site, who show up especially to denigrate Arum, Top Rank, Pacquiao, etc in that order. I read more ignorance and irrational hatred on this site that I ever saw in political attacks. Even those of 150-200 years ago, which were not babytalk by any means. Amongst the milder examples, the opponents of Abraham Lincoln, for instance, called him an ape, a monkey, a shambling menace to society, etc.

Do you watch boxing or just main events? They own the lower weight classes except 118. They have a lot of good fighters.
