ViCTor oRTiz - WHAT TOO MAKE OF HIM?

He's very much like Judah in that he is so talented that people are going to jump on every glimpse of potential he shows and overrate Ortiz. You can see it already, much the same way fans have always said "if Judah's mentally right he will win" against anyone, they say that now with Ortiz. "If the Ortiz from the Berto fight shows up..." NEWSFLASH: There is no difference between the Ortiz that beat Berto and the Ortiz that lost to Maidana and Mayweather are no different. The only difference was the opponent, not Ortiz. Yet people will, for the rest of Ortiz's career, say "if Ortiz's head is right, if the Ortiz from the Berto fight shows up," no matter who he fights. Watch, if he gets a Mayweather rematch there will be a vocal minority that says, "He wont' be intimidated this time, he will be young and strong and the guy from the Berto fight will show up this time." No way... Ortiz that fought Berto was a completely different fighter than the one against Maidana. He quit vs Maidana, he was hit harder vs Berto, knocked down and got up to win that fight. That was a pivotal moment for Ortiz IMO but you are right about the mentality of the two. I just think Judah is full of sh1t where as at least Ortiz is honest in saying he didn't deserve to be hit the way he was.

He's a pro boxer who comes from Kansas and is the son of Mexican immigrants. he doesn't have extensive schooling, what do you expect from the guy? You want him to be a genius? I think Ortiz is an incredibly physically gifted kid but I don't think boxing is #1 in his life. I think he's a nice guy and "Vicious" is the wrong nickname for him. He should be nicknamed "nice guy" or something like that. I think he would much rather be surfing on some beach with his friends instead of in a boxing ring but that's just my opinion. I think Ortiz is an incredibly physically gifted kid but I don't think boxing is #1 in his life. I think he's a nice guy and "Vicious" is the wrong nickname for him. Judah is the biggest waste of talent in the history of the sport. Ortiz works hard, I just don't think his mind is in it. His number 1 goal isn't boxing, it's to be on some beach somewhere. Not much to be made of him.Everybody kidna knows what to get from. He's not the brightest guy in boxing to put it in a nice way but I don't really care about that. He's a good entertaining fighter but his mental state is all over the place.

I'd like to see hiom fight mike jones. everyone is looking for soime huge fights for him. HE AINT ALL THAT. Mike Jones would be a great fight with victor

The guy seems thick as pig s££t but what can you do. As for opponent, I would like to see him against Khan at some stage but other than that I'm not sure. There's no doubt once Berto is recovered the rematch has to happen though. Agreed he and Khan need to make that happen. I think it will answer a lot of questions for both fighters. As for a Berto rematch to me this depends on where and when now that Berto has too pull out of this fight due to an injury? Much like when he pulled out of the fight with Mosley due to the earth quake and then Mosley got the big fight with Floyd right? Maybe his injury heels and Ortiz is not available and Al Hamon makes Berto available for the Mayweather sweep stakes right? ....LEFTY
