dam...we looking for fast balls and these dudes keep throwing us curves :lol1:....man I could've sworn Cotto was gonna get this dance...dam!!!...but at the end of the day...this will be a huge event....somebody's "0" has got to go!!!....lets get it!!!...I guess! :dunno:
In the words of "Slightly Dazed"........"There's a big difference between the best fighting the best and an up-and-comer fighting the best."
Cotto's name and resume speaks for itself. Canelo hasn't been chasing Mayweather for years, Cotto has. Cotto actually has a chance to win that fight. Canelo has 0 chance of winning. Furthermore, Cotto would beat Canelo with his expeirence and boxing skills. He would most likely stop him within twelve rounds.
Cotto has never chased Floyd, stop making crap up.
I would actually favor Canelo to whoop Cotto, but that's just my opinion.
Whatever........

Good post then. I misunderstood you the first time. Yeah, Manny honestly has more heart than Mayweather to me. He loves a challenge. Mayweather doesn't care about his fans at all. Or his legacy. If he chose Canelo because of "drawing power", then he ducked Cotto once again. Cotto is th third biggest draw in the sport behind Manny and Mayweather. He's afraid of possibly losing. Canelo is a safe fight for him. He must have watched the Gomez fight. LoL. Gomez exposed the kid and was beating him up! I'll stick to supporting Manny because he takes risks. He'll fight anybody around his size.
Why would he fight a Puerto Rican on May 5th? Stop acting like Canelo is not a draw because he's selling out arenas and millions of people in Mexico watch his fights on TV.
Mayweather puts on a clinic on both Canelo and Cotto. Guess what? Canelo beats Cotto if they ever fight.
You stay out of this forum? Please tell me you don't put "Boss Lady" in the search engine for the site to see whos talking about you. :lol1:
Not at all. I, for the first time, hit her up, with the link to the retards post, and asked her to tell him herself that I'm not part of the huge Boss Lady fanclub going on in the lounge.
I'm surprised...thought for sure Floyd would pick Cotto. I guess Floyd must have made Canelo sacrifice a ton to make the fight...weight, pay cut, glove size, ring size, location.
Maybe the inexperience factor is what Floyd is going for.....beat a young fighter, look good but the kid was lost from the moment the bell rang. Not sure the angle but there is one.....this much I do know. The thing is though, Canelo has more people attend his fights in Mexico than Floyd does here.
i dont understand this... people ***** when fighters dont fight the best opposition, and now people ***** when they do??... make up your mind
ufc has them always fighting the best, whats that say about their company?.. thought so...
There's huge a big difference between the best fighting the best and an up-and-comer fighting the best.
Its called prize fighting for a reason. Yes money is involved. Who is disputing that? what im disputing your shameless, lame, and utterly limp excuse as to floyd choosing his fights to "support business" and "pay a lot of people who wouldnt be getting paid." That's how floyd always chooses his fights. For you to try to make floyd look like he's mother theresa of boxing and if he doesnt fight "businesses would fold" and "people wouldnt get paid" is utterly comical and dishonest. Stop trying to paint a biased and crooked picture of floyd.
the getting almost KTFO is in response to your flawless performance each time out when that isnt the case. Did pac almost get KTFO by shane? No. Did floyd ever knock down shane like pac? No. Didnt shane land more punches on floyd than on pac?
Economics drive the world and boxing right? So wtf is floyd saying no to a 50-50 split in what will be the richest fight in boxing history?
Emppty bravado? What like floyd's whole wanksta act aka slick marketing campaign?
Whose afraid of who?
Lets see who was it that labeled pac overrated, one dimensional, too small, and my favorite easy work ? o yea that was floyd who thinks a one dimensional, too small, overrated, and easy work is taking steroids.
lmfaaaoooo. make sure you wipe your mouth after your done sucking off floyd you flaming flomo.
I can't afford to lose anymore IQ points discussing this with you....
i don't really like this, especially for mayweather. but for alvarez, awesome! he's facing the best fighter in the world and since imo he will eventually lose sometime in his career, no shame in losing to the best in the world. i just hope they completely stacked the undercard if it happens, i'm not going to buy it if it's just this fight. that said, i would've taken mayweather/cotto and alvarez/mosley or alvarez/cotto and mayweather/???. it is what it is, both pacquiao and mayweather are running out of opponents to fight. alvarez is most likely going to get embarrassed, but hopefully it's a fairly decent fight.

WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is ready for the big names on May 5th. The fighter managed by Chepo and Eddy Reynoso, and promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, is negotiating the details of his next fight. According to Chepo Reynoso, a meeting will soon take place in Los Angeles to negotiate the details for Canelo's next fight.
Canelo says he's ready for anyone on May 5th, including Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Chepo supports his boxer's position, with enthusiasm.
Waiting until the fight is announced might be the best option before believing "Lois" and her sources. Canelo's next fight has been May 5 since before Mayweather began scrambling for opponents outside of Pacquiao and if Canelo's still mentioning several names it is because the Mayweather fight is not concrete; he could be fighting either one of the names he mentioned. Terms of a possible Mayweather fight would be discussed, if negotiations for a Cotto fight falls through, but that is no assurance that Canelo is Mayweather's next opponent, just that he's an option (Bob Arum has probably negotiated terms with Cotto, Bradley, Peterson, and JMM, but it doesn't mean that Manny's going to be in a gauntlet match just that it is only a matter of Arum picking out the best deal for him).
Miguel Cotto is not out of the May 5 picture, especially seeing Bradley being mentioned as Pacquiao's opponent more and more. I don't think Cotto would reject a Pacquiao fight for a anything other than a lucrative Mayweather fight.
Until an official announcement is made, Lois and her sources can be disregarded. That said, Mayweather-Canelo is an underrated fight here.
Da f*ck? I stay out of this forum, don't use me to 'win an argument'.
I don't know Kev, have maybe said 5 words to him ever. So leave me out of it, cheers.

If it comes off, this kid gets embarrassed or possibly stopped late. Not looking forward to May 5 at all.
Same here, I rather have Canelo fight his mandatories in his weight class because I don't think he is ready for a superfight like this one with May.
This will be a learning step for Canelo, that's for sure.

Boss Lady??? LOL. What a fucking dumb ass, I don't even have her as a friend anywhere, I don't even talk to her. What an idiot.
Now Jin Mosley, yes i'll give you that one. But Boss Lady?
I rather pick out my daily Kristin Kreuk avatar rather than my daily Dave Chappelle avatar and creating stupid handles with silly names.
Now floyd has to choose fights to support entire business? WTF is this horsesh*t? a lot of people wouldnt be getting paid? lmfaaaooo!!!! Like what his useless entourage of societal miscreants? Flawless performance? what like almost getting KTFO by a 38 year old boxer who hadnt fought in 1 year and 5 months? Or how about throwing a sucker punch to end a fight in a big ppv event? The clueless posts that pollute this site goes both ways and that includes delusional floyd stans such as your self. yea set that bar real high fighting a 21 year old fighter who hasnt even faced a gatekeeper and whose best win is what ryan rhodes? kermit cintron?
lmfaaooooo!!!!!
GTFO outta here you undercover floids infested flomosexual.
I'm guessing you're on a yellow bus heading for Retardsville and you're using your assistive technology to talk mess on BoxingScene? Only a mentally challenged simpleton would try to ignore plain economics when it comes to understanding why fights happen or don't. Opportunity, money, and agreement make fights happen, economics drive the world not empty bravado about who's afraid of whom.
Almost getting knocked out is like almost getting laid yo. And did Mosley get any younger when Pacquiao fought him?
