If Cotto can't get Mayweather, why not a Mosley rematch?

I would have liked to seen an immediate rematch, but not anymore. Shane is done, cotto still has some left in the tank to give elites a run for their money, and possibly win.

Why the hell would we want to see that?

What am i missing here? Why don't they, (whoever they are) trust Shane anymore...especially since Pac embaressed the hell out of him? because he spoke like a bulldog and fought like a poodle

The fight isn't really siginificant in terms of rankings, but doesn't anyone else think a rematch between these two, at this point in both careers, would make another great fight? I think with their styles and slightly slowed reflexes, this fight might be better than the first one, which was great itself. why? been there done that, might as well fight Kirkland and call it a career.lol

Because Mosley is finished at the top level. Cotto isn't prime any more but he's got plenty left. Sugar Shane was a great fighter but it's time for him to retire now.

Cotto should fight the winner of Berto-Ortiz. That's a real fight. See, I would agree IF Cotto was still campaigning at 147. If he's not moving down for Pac, why would he move down for Ortiz/Berto? Now, maybe at a catch-weight, but I dislike catch-weights. I don't want Cotto fighting Mosley for the simple fact that it would automatically be for Cotto's belt, and Mosley has done ABSOLUTELY nothing to warrant a title shot. Margarito was a grudge match that just so happened to be for the belt. Mosley on the other hand? he should go fight Canelo/Vanes/Khan lol. Mosley has been demoted to gatekeeper now.

Cotto should fight the winner of Berto-Ortiz. That's a real fight. I don't think Cotto is ever going down to 147 again, it's what killed Pac vs Cotto II in the first place. Personally (though I am not Khan fan) I would like to see Amir move to WW taking the winner of Berto/Ortiz it would make the WW division that much more interesting.

id say pac beat down mosley pretty good I thought Shane was avoiding Pac most of the fight, refusing to engage, keeping his distance, like he did with Floyd. At least Cotto went for it for the 1st few rounds. I don't remember Mosley taking much damage at all.

Sounds pretty good to me, I actually would like to see this fight. Shane, being a good sport, thought he had won, so he has that confidence. He hasn't taken any beatdowns Like Cotto has, but Cotto has recovered from much and is coming off some wins, and now has a really good trainer. It was a very close fight ther 1st time, and a rematch would be cool. No PPV though. Not THAT good...lol. I'd rather see him fight other guys in his division more though. id say pac beat down mosley pretty good
