...traumatized or suicidal if Miguel Cotto beats either one of them in 2012?
Cotto fans would be ok with either loss. Pacquaio beat Miguel in 2009. His speed will most likely overwhelm him again for another win. The heartbreak already occurred in 2009 and Pacquaio seems like a good guy in general that the L would be nothing more than a 'meh' as we anticipate Pac/May
If Cotto loses to Mayweather, it'll be another 'meh'. This fight should have happened in 2007/2008 when Cotto had hit his prime, and Mayweather famously said that "he wouldn't let boxing retire him" when asked about the possibility of fighting Miguel. True to word, he retired. So in 2012, Mayweather is fresher and will comfortably win a 8-4 or 9-3 fight in a ho-hum fashion. Cotto will be the underdog and more spent fighter, who still has life in his legs, against certain fighters. So it wouldn't be either a shock or a big deal anymore. Its not like Mayweather beat him at his best.
However, if Cotto pulled off the monumental upset against either fighter, which set of fans would set the internet, the world and their own mommas on fire if their hero lost?

Cotto is not going to beat Pac.. Cotto fans are trying to hang on the idea that Cotto lose because he had to go down 1 lb less compared to what weigh in his previous fight... The fact is Cotto was not dehydrated, he never fought like dehydrated fighter, and did not come up with an excuse of being dehydrated after the fight... He gotten beaten up plain and simple..
Cotto should just fight Floyd.. His length, and pressure style might give Floyd a tough fight.. though I think Floyd beats him by decision.. But its goin to be a good fight, and I am goin to pay to watch that fight...
Pac fans would have a harder time seeing the Pacman loose. Specially to someone like May. They are total opposites specially what they represent. One carries the pride of his nation the other does it for himself only. To be honest I doubt May even cares of loosing his 0, its just something he uses to gain leverage over his opponents n to sell his fights. The only ones that care for his undefeated record are his die hard fans. Any who they are by far the worst champions representing boxing today.
I like a few dudes from both bases...the Pac dudes is like the drunk uncle in the family....and the Floyd fans are like brothers from another mother....I can rock with certain cats from both bases...with that said, IMO, the Floyd dudes would take it harder...for Floyd to lose to a dude that got Manny's Nike stuck up in his ass would be a VERY bad look...why do yall think the Pac dudes felt so sh!tty about the last Marquez fight?!?...Floyd handled him easily and it created DOUBT....if Manny lost to Cotto...Pac fans would say..."Floyd didn't fight him"...and that would be FACT....there's nothing a Floyd fan can REALLY say to that....it is what it is!!!...so my bros from another would take it harder IMO
its always gonna be pac fans taking it the hardest. the worst floyd fan has a gay obsession with him, the worst pac fan kneels before their pac action figure and prays. religious devotion outweighs gay attraction. they believe he is a deity.
Ok, now that was humorous. Glad you can get basic sarcasm and wit instead of the poster above you, 'Windowlicker'
In terms of others talking about Pac's 3 losses, they occurred before he became a walking sex symbol and singular module of hope for an entire nation of devout believers in his everlasting power.
He lost to Erik Morales, a freaking legend. No shame in that, plus got two wins against him. The other two nobodies occurred when he was a pup. Surely you trolls can't see the difference between his expanding orgy of fanboys today juxtaposed to 15 years ago.
Either way, polls are even split. This is interesting. Studies are showing that they are both equally manic-depressive

Deep down, Manny's fans know that he can be beat and are probably shocked that--as much as he gets hit--he hasn't lost already. I'm not so sure the Pacquiao obsessed would be so glum about a loss because they will still be single-mindedly fixed on Pacquiao unless something truly terrible happened to him like a conviction for pedophilia. The Pacquiao obsessed cannot truly be harmed by a loss, not when they have handy delusions they can call upon to blot out reality. Is there any problem if you can rewrite reality to your liking and no one will really go out of their way to stop you?
If Floyd loses, it better be a great fight. And with as little love as he gets already, I'm sure the world will move on as it always has, we'll pay our bills and hopefully get laid. And that will be that....
Well, Pac has already 3 losses in his record.
Mayweather on the other hand, being undefeated is very important to him. Whatever Floyd say, his fans also say. If Floyd losses, he will take it bad.
Manny fans, IMO. Not only would Cotto have avenged his loss against a cheater in Margarito, but the echoes of "what if he wouldn't have been weight-drained in his first fight with Manny" would be a topic to explore as well. Plus, Manny has an entire nation riding for him.
gotta say flomos cause they live and die for his undefeated record, thats all they know to mention. Not to mention they live vicariously through him so its there own personal loss
I tink Manny fans would take it very hard, Manny is the icon of a whole country. He is the face of the philippines and i love to hear him sing!
A Manny loss would take away a country's unity behind the mic.
This is sad, I love to hear him sing too!
