Who wins this fantasy fight.
Castillo, had two reigns as a champ at lightweight, making a total of 5 successful defenses, losing out to Mayweather on a disputed decision and getting stopped by Corrales after putting him down a few times in the round.
Mosley, was dominant at the weight making 8 title defense winning all by KO
Castillo was come forward pressure boxer-brawler worked the body well.
Mosely loved fighting this time a fighter and would damage them with body shots before going upstairs and getting the KO.
Mosley was much the bigger puncher and had the better chin.
So who wins this fantasy fight?

Depends Mosley with or with out EPO cause Mosley the cheat is a dud without it
What you think Shane was greater at lightweight than JLC? Really???????
there's just some confusion regarding whether the other poster was talking about career-wise or lw wise.
i guarantee he doesn't think shane has a better lw resume
Shane's resume at 135 is not that great so I really don't understand how people can make such bold statements as "Shane was unbeatable at lightweight" that is baseless considering the guys he fought there.
Prime Castillo would have been Shane's toughest test at LW and in my eyes by some margin I could see either side winning a close decision i lean towards Shane but it would be far from a given.
Mosley. Huge power and strength at the weight and he was stupid fast too. He was always an aggressive guy but he was quite elusive back then too. Shane knew that mexican style well having come up in the tough Cali gyms and he had a mean left hook downstairs himself.... Mosley late KO or UD
Maybe the weight making depleted Mosley a bit, he was basically 140 as an amateur so it had to affect him the longer his career went.
But I would've liked to see him in more fights at lightweight before saying that a guy like Duran wouldn't have had a chance at lightweight against a young Mosley.
Mosley would have never stood a chance against Duran.
He was a monster at lightweight. It is so strange no one could believe he could make that weight.
But the weirdest thing about Shane. Many guys siad he didn't punch terrifically hard.
I think it was Jesse James Leija who said it was like chinese water torture, one didn't hurt but after 50 you felt the effects.
I never felt anyone had a chance against Shane at that weight.

What on earth is this based on? He was so untested at that weight (didn't look invicnible either), it's outrageous to regard him that highly.
Mosley would win. I think it's just a bad style match up for Castillo. And, Castillo style favors Mosley. However, Castillo is still a much greater LW than Shane. That's not even debatable.
I got to go with Castillo who has the better resume at lightweight. Shane Mosley better days was at welterweight. Mosley would gas bad at lightweight and if he didn't well thats probably when he was on the peds.
Castillo beat Floyd and regardless what people say about there 2nd fight its was another close fight with Floyd doing the running man for 12 rounds.
Castillo was a beast in his prime.
While I respect everyone's opinion on here, you always posts dumb ****! I am sure that you are a 14yr old that started watching boxing because of Pac. Shane was almost unbeatable at lightweight at lightweight.
