With a very very good undercard? Me wether I like the main event or not, if they would make it with a very good undercard. I think I will buy it
Thoughts...
Canelo-Mayweather at 154 would be a good fight, IMO. Probably the next best fight available for Floyd. Canelo's size and boxing skills would make this fight very intersting. Canelo is probably a little too green for Floyd, but 147 is weak, so he might as well go up to 154 and try to win another belt at that weight.
Throw in a decent undercard and I'd buy it.
He'd get ALOT of critisism for fighting Canelo at 154 but making Martinez come down to 150 IMO

I actually went to see PAC vs Clottey live, as well as the Margarito and Mosley bouts.
I like Cotto and it's no disrespect to him as a fighter, but PAC trying to face Cotto next is a slap I the face of boxing fans as he should be facing Floyd next and if not, then someone like Tim Bradley.
Yea I went to both those fight. Good atmosphere
Yea I like The Tim Bradley fight. Nice threat but not a name yet. So hard to sell IMO
I'd buy Mayweather-Canelo, even though I think Floyd dominates and scores a late TKO. In an ideal world, we get Mayweather-Pacquiao and Canelo-Cotto, but neither of them are that likely at the moment.
Absolutely not wouldn't buy another Floyd PPV after that whole Ortiz fiasco unless its a fight against Pacquiao. Plus Alvarez is overrated he really has a way to go before he can be considered an elite fighter.
Yes I would. The two I wouldn't buy are Mayweather-Cotto and Mayweather Guererro.
I would buy almost any other Floyd PPV.
Who exactly are these people? LOL I can't find really anyone throwing the gauntlet down as Canelo being this unstoppable kid who will pound Mayweather into submission. I mean, Jesus Christ lol Cotto's much less talented brother had Canelo on queer street. Is this how the fight will be justified, because a couple of horny fans were bigging up Canelo?
But being as both Pac and Mayweather's fans will still buy their fights they'll also find ways to justify who they're fighting instead of one another.
So when people say, "If you don't like it, don't buy it!", I'll go along gladly with that rule. It's not killing my Saturday night not watching Pac or Floyd.
Would you buy Cotto vs Chavez Jr on PPV?
Not at all...lol

Yea I went to both of the fights. Very good atmosphere!
I like the Tim Bradley fight I don't discredit it. If its cotto at 147 then I don't like the match up
Though I didnt buy the clottey vs Pacquiao fight on PPV I did buy to go see it live. Is that bad?? Lol

I'd buy it...but I'd buy any Mayweather fight. I think he's the greatest boxer of this generation and he'll only fight so many more times. WIth that said, I'd prefer he fight in this order:
1. Pac
2. Sergio
3. Cotto
4. Khan after a couple of big wins
5. Canelo after a couple of big wins
I'll pretty much buy any Pacquiao or Mayweather event unless it's something ridiculous like Mayweather vs Malignaggi or Pacquiao vs Cotto II.
I love big fights and the atmosphere they create.

Bro, I don't hate Floyd at all and I quite possibly have been following his career longer than you have, but I simply don't parade around his life, so sue me for that. What you're quoting from me isn't supposed to make me mad or angry, it is exactly what it is. You don't hear Floyd running around screaming to fight all the young fighters, are you? Is he calling out Martinez? or Canelo, or any of these guys? Of course not, because they make no financial sense to him. Let alone, though the public are barking at Pacquiao, you don't think he knows him fighting anyone else would cause backlash to him as well? I mean, I can't understand how his own fans don't realize that. Like even me being a Cotto fan, I hate the Pac vs Cotto II fight and I'm supposed to be like "Man Cotto got this now!!" That's the difference between being a biased fan and just seeing things for what they are. Both Floyd and Manny are in positions in their career where them fighting the young buck and or a #2-3 fighter does nothing for them, otherwise Floyd would have gone on to fight someone else being that other person can generate big bucks for him.
I mean think about it, what did an Ortiz win really do for Floyd more than the actual controversy of the outcome? Simply just give him more press? If that's the motive going into every fight, then yea he can fight all the up and comers. But in a realistic world, Floyd is at the tail end of his career and he's looking for the biggest check of his life and he'll bow out.
#1 Martinez is older than Floyd,lol:owned2:
#2 Canelo is the fight their making since Pacquiao is to afraid to fight the GOAT!
:owned2:
#3 What did Ortiz fight do for Mayweather?, well the story is still being written. If Oritz comes back and ko's Berto, he still has the rest of his 20s and 30s to fight and accomplish big things. Everyone will remember who took him to school first.
#4 No im not trying to make you mad, just showing you that your being bias. You give credit to your fav fighter s who in my book are garbage, Cotto, and Pac are Top Rank hype machines! Both crumble when faced with adversity.
I'll pretty much buy any Pacquiao or Mayweather event unless it's something ridiculous like Mayweather vs Malignaggi or Pacquiao vs Cotto II.

You seem to hate on Mayweather no matter what. Canelo is undefeated, and young! Yet you still dont give him any credit. You said he doesn't fight anyone younger, bigger, stronger and undefeated. Canelo is all of the above, what do you have to say about that.:owned2:

I really think Canelo's punching power could bother Floyd. Alvarez hits you everywhere, and could possibly beat Floyd up to the point where he could break through Mayweather's famous defense.
Canelo is an extremely good technical boxer, and he's also extremely strong, physically stronger than anyone Floyd has faced. Canelo just looks very solid when he's in the ring and could overpower Mayweather and bully him into the ropes.
Perhaps the quality that Alvarez has that I most appreciate is his killer instinct and will to finish off an opponent when he has him hurt. Alvarez goes for the jugular once he has his opponent in trouble. He is as fierce a fighter in this situation as we've seen in recent times.
If he were able to land something solid to get Floyd in trouble, as Shane Mosley did in 2009, Canelo would finish him off. He has demonstrated that ability time and again.
While I doubt this fight will happen sooner rather than later, it is a fight that would be huge for boxing. Saul Alvarez is a huge star and the fight would generate huge revenue. Look for this fight in May of 2013, perhaps as the final fight, or close to it, of Floyd's career.
I'm not saying Saul would win, but I guarantee one thing—he'd make for a highly competitive, very interesting bout.
I agree with this flomo to an extent.
People dont give Canelo enough credit. Does he deserve the fight? Hell no.
But do he have the abilities to make it a competitive fight? I believe so. I actually give him a good chance against this version of Floyd. But well see if it happens.
Why i believe this? The kid has some of the sickest combinations ive ever seen. He hits hard, very very hard, and with alot of speed as well. And if he catches Floyd with a few of them, it can definitely change the fight.
He got ALOT of things to work on though. Stamina for one. He also has to learn to mix in his offense with his defense. Its usually all out offense or all out defense like when he did with Gomez.
I give him the best chance out of all the opponents not named Sergio.
