Ronnie Nathanielsz of Manila Standard Today reports that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum may possibly go before Las Vegas judge Melissa Saragosa to try and get Floyd Mayweather Jr's jail sentence further pushed back, so that a fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao can happen in late May or early June.
++++Arum indicated he was ready to go before judge Melissa Saragosa and request that she push back the incarceration date so the fight, which the world wants to see, can take place.
The belief is that the judge, who postponed Mayweather’s incarceration from Jan. 6 to June 1 to allow him to keep his contractual obligations for a May 5 fight, is likely to grant the request.
This would be a pretty bombshell piece of news if true, and would make the fight, dare I say it, very possible. Very, very possible.++++
Mayweather said yesterday via Twitter that the date of his scheduled fight (May 5) can't be changed, and says he has his guaranteed money in order and challenged Arum to contact Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions or adviser Al Haymon.
The biggest sticking point right now appears to be the date. If Arum really helped get the sentence delayed again, which it already was earlier this month, that's a serious move, and if successful, the ball would be entirely in Floyd Mayweather's court -- if he's willing to fight Pacquiao on May 5 and report for his sentence on June 1, a similar four-week arrangement to fight Pacquiao later and report to jail later should be reasonable on paper.
The article also mentions Dubai as a potential host for the fight, but we've heard about Dubai five hundred times and it never hosts a fight, so I'm choosing to ignore that. Freddie Roach says he thinks Cowboys Stadium would be best for the fight in the States, but you'd have to sell so many tickets there to equal a Vegas gate that it doesn't actually make sense. There are only so many high-priced tickets you can sell in Cowboys Stadium.
Anyway, this could all amount to nothing, but it has been reported, and if Arum really did make a move on this, that would be big time. And would do more than anything ever has to show that Arum and Team Pacquiao want this fight.

What if the judge did move the date again, and Floyd did pull some strings to make the fight happen June 9? What would Arum and Pac's excuse be to not make the fight then?
Pac's eye didn't heal and the stadium will need more time..
At least there is still hope in this super fight to happen in May. If the Judge agrees to this. Floyd has no choice but to agree to a late may fight.
The very comment made by Arum also proves that Floyd is locked into May 5th , now we know why its got to be on May 5th , why is that the date is ok for Arum if its JMM but not Floyd ,,,,, you dont smell the Arum rat going down here ? lol I guess not you in denial Pac retard .

Wow. Bob Arum is going to the extrmes with his nonsense now. He said this to Ronnie Nathanielz yesterday. Today, he says that Pac has chosen his next opponent and it is not Mayweather (as if Mayweather was actually an option). Tommorrow he will claim that he can't make a Mayweather/Pac fight on May 5 because the Filipino government won't let Pac leave the country to fight until the end of May. The sad thing about it is the gullible and the Pactards (not the same thing because Pactards are both stupid and blind, making them worse than gullible) will believe this nonsense.
That's the problem. The MGM Grand is not the arena that will get the late May date between Mayweather and Pacquiao, it will be Bob's stadium. So once they void that contract, they also void getting the record for gate revenue in boxing history.
Something about that term just made me laugh "Bob's stadium" :lol1:
Judge Saragosa wouldn't even talk to Bob Arum. I just got off the phone with the Clark County's public relations speaker and she told me that Judge Saragosa wouldn't be talking with anyone since the case is still pending. That includes the media and Bob Arum.
if he does it will only be for the opporunity to try and fail in public and have something to blame
if you dont think that top rank is blocking this fight you aren't anything but a "pactard"
i'm not saying that manny is afraid to fight floyd
i'm saying that arum and top rank, for whatever reason, aren't willing to make this fight
if they wanted to make this thing happen they'd get together in a boardroom and close the door and make this damn thing happen in a few hours.
that's the bottom line.
What a crock...
A 3rd party can't talk to a judge about the sentencing of another, or negotiate for that person. Thats purely to be handled in the courts, not in the slimy back rooms Arum is accustomed to frequenting.
The only person that could make that request is Floyd or his lawyers

yep........
Trust me ... the MGM will have no problems voiding the may 5th contract, and accepting a different date for this fight.

Lol I see what bob is doing here. He knows the judge will say no, so Bob will say "I did everything I could to make the fight, it's not my fault". If the judge my any slim chance actually pushes Floyd's sentence back, then I want to see what Arum will do to stop the fight then.

The MGM Grand wont have any problems with moving the fight of the century to some temporary stadium being built by Bob?
A better use of his time would be to call Shaefer and start negotiations before it's too late.
The aim is to stall until it is too late , the DUCK is on .
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
May 5 is the worst day EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Except if its JMM then May 5th is great for Manny Duckman ,,,
This new angle is just more Arum stalling tactics , Team Pac will keep coming with curve balls until its too late ,,,,,, I said this right in the beginning that they will duck the fight at all costs .
Bunch of Duckers and Manny is hiding too scared to say anything ,,,, what a pu$$y he turned out to be .
Why would there be any excuses on their end if arum is the one who request the judge to push the date back?? If he was looking for excuses not to make the fight then what's the point of him tryin to get the judges to push the date back?
Arum can't even talk to the judge and he knows it, but yet you believe him..... Arum goal accomplished.
