Is Floyd Mayweather even allowed to fight on a different day than May 5th? I keep hearing about Arum wanting to move the fight to late may but i haven't heard anything back from Floyd's camp on that. Does anyone know?
I just feel if he is locked into that date by the ruling from the court than all this late May early June talk is pointless.
Would you fancy going in front of a judge and saying "oh yeah, you know how I'm already delaying my sentence by dropping a surprise date on you at the last minute when you were about the sentence me a couple of weeks ago, that date was the 5th of May and we had everything lined up that you let me delay prison.....well, as it turns out, i wouldn't mind delaying it a bit further still for another date the month after, do you you mind, because this is the big one we have been talking about for the last few years and tried many times to make but it always fell apart, but now i believe it will happen with no problems, i just need a couple more weeks"
I would imagine the moment he stands in front of the judge to ask that question he probably gets led away on the spot to the cells for treating the courts with contempt and thinking he can run roughshod all over the law because he is bringing in lots of money to Las Vegas.
There comes a moment where a line is drawn and Floyd has drawn that line for the 5th May, if he goes back to a judge to ask a question to delay he is stupid, because Arum doesn't want the fight, so the date will slip, Floyd won't fight Manny and he will go back to the court with no money for Vegas, no fight and a waste of time....he won't pass go and collect his 200, he will go straight to jail lol
As long as he turns up on June 1 he can do what ever he likes. The judgement has been made.
If he breaks a hand tomorrow and can't fight for 6mths, is he going to be hauled off to jail ?
Of course not.
The again Arum has no valid reason why May 5 is no good other than the fact that Floyd chose it.
yup, that's it- arum won't accept may 5th basically because it means that "floyd is trying to dictate the terms". (the cut thing is bull and we all know that, it'd be fine by then)
