Bob Arum knows that if he has a future megafight, he can make a killing off of the fighters every step of the way before the superfight...IE Gamboa vs Juanma... Its not about timing, if someone wants to see fighter A fight fighterB, they'll buy every ppv in between... Bob Arum knows $$$. He doesn't give a **** about you or me or the industry that has made him rich, he's not going to lose 75mil just to save boxing.

Maybe. It's because after facing Mayweather (making the most money possible) Manny would probably consider retiring. If Arum keeps him from it a bit longer he can continue making money off of Manny for a while longer. It's a business.
