Helenius told the Finnish boxing media that he had injured his right shoulder during training for the Chisora fight three weeks prior to the match. The injury apparently hasn't healed accordingly and he will have to go through surgery next Thursday which will put him out for atleast 6 months. He says he was planning to defend his EBU title within 2 months which would've allowed him to keep his EBU belt but now risks losing it.
Rough translation of his comments to Yle:
"The doctors said that it is career-threatening. These are difficult news but I hope for the best. I have a good doctor who is the best possible."

Hope everything goes well for him. He's getting a lot of rightful stick for the Chisora fight but I wouldn't want to see him have to prematurely retire, and neither should anyone really.
