Do you think Floyd is being sincere or was this just perfect timing?

I cant tell. Part of me thinks that he is chomping at the bit to face Pacquiao and all of the blame is on Arum and Pacquiao. Another part of me thinks this is all perfect timing and that Floyd knew there was no way a fight was going to happen in May so that is why he is coming out and calling him out on Twitter b/c he knew it would make him look like he was the one really wanting the fight. I just wished we would have heard this same kind of talk after Pacquaio was drilling Hatton and Cotto instead of him being on vacation or not thinking about boxing or that Pacquaio had to be on something. What do you think ? Floyd had his jail sentence pushed back! He's been in the media everyday calling out Pacquiao's name! If Manny Pacquiao said "Floyd I accept your challenge and I'll see you may 5th, Floyd would be in trouble if he wasn't sincere! But of course that's not going to happen because Pacquiao's going to let his promoter run his name through the mud like he's been doing to Mayweather for years!

Dont trust Floyd because he has done more talking about Pac in one day then he has in his whole boxing career together. Conveniently talks when Pac is battle worn with cuts that may hurt pac phycologically and when he is coming off a close fight. You talking about the cut between Manny's legs or the cut above his eye Roach already called BS? Manny has had over two to years to step up. Now Floyd has turned up the heat, and Manny has run out of the kitchen like his life depended on it. I think its even more amusing that you actually try to defend these actions. Its sad and pathetic.

When Pacquiao agree to the OSD random testing, did not Mayweather reply that he had to do all his training in the US, and not half in the Philippines, and the finish-up in Wild Card as he has always done....... This was another Mayweather tactic to put off any liklihood of agreement. These and other facts are clear. Why should Arum jeopardise possibly they most lucrative promotion he's ever done, to sooth political and unreliable Mayweather. Both he and Pacquiao have a huge reputation in the sport, world wide, and in my opinion, allowing Mayweather to dictate the whole deal is denigrating-which, of course, seems to be Mayweather's intention. What do you think ? I think the whole thing where Mayweather is concerned is a sham. He has avoided Pacquiao in every way he could, until now. This is his opportunty to make this supreme egotist and narcissist look " good", notwithstanding the ample almost daily evidence over the years that he is a low-life thug. As soon as he heard that Pacquiao had sustained a very bad cut, to the bone, needing 3 layers of stitches, he knew that it would take months to PROPERLY heal, with no guarantees. At the same time, he also knew that he was very likely to go to gaol for a few months, and also knew well in advance that he would plead guilty. He doesn't pay his lawyers millions for nothing. So, knowing he could easily forfeit any deposit to MGM if needed, or pick a Mexican warrior for Cinco de Mayo, he began to show that he was eager to fight Pacquiao. It didn't matter that the fight wouldn't occur, it would serve his purpose of making MannyP look and feel badly. At around the same time, his lawyers' plan was put into operation, to ask for a delay, so that "this great citizen, wanting only the best for his city, could fulfil his "committment" or "contract" (?) to perform in Las Vegas to better the economy....(and all the rest of the crap). So...Mayweather has got his postponement, which they (and I) surely expect to be turned into an application for a suspended sentence, when his lawyers apply for it, showing what a virtuous citizen he is, how well behaved, and what he's "done" for the poor of the city, (like the ancient noble Roman) Etc. etc etc. No one seems to have questioned whether he has a confirmed, paid for, contract with MGM, or merely an oral "layaway" arrangement to be confirmed later, if it becomes solid, etc. I believe it more than likely that all this was conceived by his lawyers. It makes no good sense to book Cinco the Mayo for other than a popular Mexican fighter. All speculation of course, which I rarely indulge in, but the chance for intrigue seems to be so easily available in these circumstances, and every "Tom-Dick-and Harry" has been jumping in head first, eyes shut, mouth wide open, brain not working etc. that I had to put up the above possibilities.

Will justifiably want a tune up fight when he comes out, meaning he couldn't fight Pacquiao until 2013. ( Assuming he doesn't want to take a break). Of course he is more urgent than he was 2 years ago, there is now the risk of the fight not occurring and a greater chance of time catching up to him.

i think team pac was caught off-guard when floyd's jail time was deferred for june. that's why they never entertained a pac-floyd fight to happen in may.

People are giving Mayweather too much mind-reading powers here, One thing i know is this fight has great timing for May 2012, Whether its the first week of May or middle May is up to the people involve, But why wait after May 2012? We have waited for the whole of 2010 and 2011 without the fight happening, So yes May 2012 is perfect timing.
