Hilarious.
Yeah Scully, teach your boy how to break the law without getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. That's how crime pays. What Chad did was the equivalent of:
What I don't understand from your video is why he didn't tell the guy to get on the ground. I watched it without sound... so all I saw was him trying to wrestle the dude with a gun pointed to his face.
So all in agreement then that this will be an unentertaining fight but must happen for light heavyweight supremacy. What we cant agree on is the outcome.
I picked Hopkins the 1st time and nothing happend in the 2 rounds we saw to make me think he couldnt win in the rematch. Its a long tough ugly fight but the Pascal fight told me alot about Chad. Good fighter just not well rounded enough to deal with the tricks of the old man. Saying that who knows what the judges will see so no outcome would shock me.
How is Chad the second best light heavy when he got beat by Pascal?
Have it your way.
3rd Best then. :nana:
Still, these two guys are top fighters in the division, it's gotta happen.
I'd heavily favor Dawson in a rematch against Pascal also. He would of stopped him the first time had they not stopped it because of that cut.
Don't see big money being put up for this and I don't think they deserve big money after being paid for that previous fiasco. It isn't fair on the network or the fans that attended who paid their money to watch that last time.
That place has just been booked and taken for Roy Jones next retirement tour fight, which will be aired on Livestream, didn't you hear?
i thought thats what they were saying over that bullhorn riding through my neighborhood...
I want this fight also.
The chances are it will be a boring fight but they are the best two light heavyweight in the world so he needs to go down.

Personally, I have nothing against the match if it can be made.
But we all know Boxing doesn't work like that. If one of them was some type of draw with a certain region (I.E. just on the level of a Chris John with Indonesia, when JMM took the fight because nobody wanted to promote his next fight), then we would have something. But as it stands, Dawson can't draw sh1t to flies up in Connecticut, and Hopkins isn't much better up in Philly.
Goldenboy isn't interested in promoting and investing in this. This fight needs to go to a purse bid and maybe some Foreign Investor backed Promoter will bite and take the fight to Canada or somewhere in Europe to get his return capital.
Joe's Chicken, Waffles, and Car Wash in Swamp Fox, South Carolina has an available date. Lol
Dawson has a serious handspeed advantage, so Hopkins will have to use all of his tricks to chop that advantage down to the point that it's only minimally effective. He will circle the ropes, clinch a lot, and using a lot of rough house tactics and inside fighting (which Chad is known to struggle with) to accomplish this.
...and as the case with jones, taylor, and calzaghe, he'll lose by not throwing/landing enough punches, mixed in with buying time for pitty pat lowblows, then he and all 12 of his fans will blame the refs, judges, hbo, and the man...
I'd like to see the rematch made. Not because it will be entertaining, but because it needs to happen. And I hope, win or lose, Hopkins retires afterward.
Agreed....................

Make no mistake about it : This will not be an entertaining fight.

It will be similar to Hopkins/Wright in terms of "excitement".
But I agree, it must happen so we can know who the best Light Heavyweight is.
I must be in the minority or something, because I really want this rematch.
I just have a gut feeling that Hopkins roughs him up badly en route to a close, but clear decision.
I don't think your in a minority I'd like to see it, but it might be a chess match and not garner the same attention as the first one.
If marketed well by the fighters, in terms of payback for the fallout of the 1st fight, it could do ok.
I'd love for Hopkins to win but I just find myself saying, surely he'll have aged enough this time, to get beaten by the younger gun.
I don't think he can get away with it as much with Dawson.

no your not, i want to see chad and his fans finally STFU the guy is overrated like anything
