How good is Takashi Uchiyama?

Watch out for uchiyama, broner and gamboa. They are gonna be the dominant forces in the division. It's not a deep division tho outside of those 3. And the odds of those guys fighting each other are slim.

I have a feeling this guy juices and when he leaves Japan his career ends. Ever since the Pride fighters moved to UFC and started fighting in Vegas as opposed to Japan, they began to mysteriously suck.

I saw the fight against Solis, it's the first time I've seen him fight since I don't really follow the lower weight classes much, man that was a brutal KO! What fights can be made in the jr lightweight division, is it a deep division? Uchiyama is a solid fighter, he has a good jab which I've never seen him abandon. He seems to be a good finisher as well. He also creates openings well, although he tends to fight in straight lines and could use angles to create even more openings. His defenses prior Solis were a bit on the soft side, the only time he didn't look that good was against Miura who's a southpaw and Uchiyama broke his hand during that fight (IIRC). 130 is one of the weaker divisions IMO. Outside of a few fighters, it's pretty barren.

Uchiyama holds an impressive victory over Salgado who was coming off his win over Linares and is arguably the best SuperFeather based off that win and is a excellent fighter with a wide range of skills.
